I absolutely loved my stay at the Granbell in Shinjuku. I stayed in a15th floor room with a mini kitchen and a separate tub with an amazing view. The buffet style breakfast had everything you could think to include and tasted great. It's just walking minutes from the Golden Gai and the Shinjuku Tower. Every encounter with hotel personnel was exceptional.

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were endless options from yogurt to stew. Everything was delicious and that gave us a good start for the day. The room is small, as expected. We had two twin beds that were pushed together. I expected a little space between them. Staff was excellent and helpful.

The hotel staff are super friendly. We arrived early in the morning knowing that the check-in time is in the afternoon, so we were only planning to somehow leave our luggage at the hotel and went out. But the hotel staff informed us that the room was ready and we can check-in immediately. So we got some time to rest before heading out. The entire stay was great!

My review was very cramped. The wallpaper was peeling. The room needs remodeling and some decoration. The staff was very helpful and polite. I liked the convenience of the location but the hotel is nestled among many other high rises and hard to find from the main streets.

In the heart of Kabukicho, 5 mins walk from Higashi Shinjuki and Shinjuki Sanchome metro stations. Tons of entertainment, eateries and shopping close by. Hotel had a coin-operated laundry and stored baggage after we checked out which was convenient. Decent sized rooms by Tokyo standards that was clean and comfortable. Bought breakfast package which was awesome. Served both Japanese, Chines and Western cuisine with lots of choices. View from the dining room on 12th floor waa awesome as well.

Small rooms but convenient. We stayed in a DELUXE DOUBLE, the room was small (not tiny), enough for 2 people with 2 carry ons and 2 big suitcases. The hotel is nice, they clean the rooms everyday, the front desk is helpful, also the staff from the cafe in the lobby. Location is good, we waked all the time to restaurants and bars. Also, the Shinjuku station is a short walk away. The area is surrounded by bars and motels, you’ll always see young people walking around. But the hotel and the rooms are quiet, despite being in right next to the entertainment core. We spent a week there. It’s a nice comfortable hotel.

The hotel low end budget hotel which lacks regular maintenance and upkeep. Rooms are extremely cramped, layout badly designed, window blinds broken, would question the guest rating Area around hotel not brilliant. There are much better choices.
