This is a massive hotel, the elevators take a while to come. I was looking forward to doing laundry but the there were some many people waiting to do laundry even quite early in the morning, it was impossible, which was disappointing. The room itself was quite small but manageable. It was a decent walk to Shinjuku station, so not as convenient as some of the other similarly priced hotels in the area

The hotel somehow has a 4 star rating, when it really is no better than a 3 star, and as such they can charge a higher room rate. In general the reception staff are not very helpful, there are no porters to take the suitcases to your room, there is no room service, the cleaning staff don't speak Japanese or English. The rooms are relatively small and have no furniture to put your clothes in, which for us was an absolute disaster, which they were unable to sort out. We had to live out of 2 suitcases lying open of the floor taking what was left of the floor space. There are some mobile extra air filtrations machine things in the room, that certainly are not required, take up floor space and along with the ubiquitous kettle give them presumably their 4 star rating. The bathroom is a plastic prefabricated unit in the corner of the room which you have to step into, whilst adequate, it is can't be considered more than just functionary and certainly is not up to a 4 star rating.

I liked that the Shinjuku station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Coffee shops and lots of other shops in the area as well. I liked that the bus for the airport is just outside the door. The room was very small but as a single person it was all I needed. I was really only there to sleep. The pillow was kind of small. The tub was very high and a bit difficult to get into. I'd like to have had an extra towel and a wash cloth. The laundry was broken and I was told there was another one in the annex but I couldn't find it. Overall, I found this hotel to be very good and I would stay here again on another trip to Tokyo!

Paid for the superior room hoping for more comfort. While the room was bigger, the extra space seemed wasted because of the small Asian style chair and table. I would of liked a standard desk chair or a small sofa and wished the counter space was big enough to write on. Breakfast here was great, good choices and food was refreshed resonably fast.
