Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
We are a couple with a 1year old baby. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed was a double bed which was a tight fit for all 3 of us but we managed. But if you’re really tall or bigger-sized, it’ll be good to get a different room. Location was perfect for us because it was near restaurants that we like and quite near to the temple and the train station.
The only major complaint we have is the check out experience. We were ready to go but just a few minutes before the checkout time, my baby fussed big time and needed some care. I called the counter to ask if we could have 5-10min just to settle our baby. But we were rudely shot down and the staff firmly said we need to be out by 10am. They even called us at 10am (all this was happening while baby was crying) to pressure us to be out of the room. It left us with such an unpleasant feeling that this is not a baby-friendly place to stay in. We understand there is a need for us guests to comply to this out of respect for the hotel to be able to clean and prepare for the next guests. But shouldn’t there be some flexibility when you knowingly open up the hotel for families with young children that things like this will happen? We have travelled a lot with our baby and we’ve never had to ask for a longer (10min is long?) checkout but we’ve noticed that other hotels will tell us to take it easy during checkout because they understand kids will take time to settle. So disappointing.
