The hotel was honestly one of the best located hotels in the area. It boasts amazing views from its terrace, bar, lobby, restaurant, and if you’re lucky, your room. Unfortunately my room was a little not perfectly clean, but it was great for the price and hardly have any knocks about it.

room was fine Pillow was too soft, can implement pillow menu for customer to choose to have comfortable sleep Breakfast can give it a miss if staying for less than 5 nights, as the main course option is limited and everyday is the same options. Buffet menu on top of the main course is also the same daily, would give it a missed and try breakfast outside. Staff Friendly Wifi in room not stable and connection poor keep disconnecting from phone Transportation convenient, although same stations but has different line heading to airport there’s direct train but about 20mins walk from hotel including finding your way to the stations and lift. Overall stay, I would say 3.8/5. Will stay again due to location

Lovely hotel in beautiful Asakuza. Walkable to Sensoji temple, lots of shopping and dining options The mosy pleasant staff are friendly and professional. We would happily return to The Gate hotel.

Had only 3 nights in Tokyo, spent first night here to get a feel for the Asakusa area. Stunning views of the Sky Tree at night from the rooftop deck, wait staff from the bar/restaurant were very nice, serving us at last possible moment before they closed for the evening. Bag check was well handled allowing us to explore the neighborhood on foot for much of the day with ease. Temple is litterally a few hundred feet from the hotel. Room was nice, maybe not truly up scale, but worked well for two people traveling light.

Very conveniently located, close to subways and the temple, with tons of restaurants in walking distance. The room is quite large in Japanese standard. A bit weird with the 'labby' at the top floor. Almost had trouble entering the building since we arrived very early, before the door was unlocked.

This is an incredible location close to everything great in ASAKUSA, only problem for me that a JR line was far away, however using Passmo you can get around. Hotel had a lovely terrace over looking Senso-ji temple and Tokyo sky tree.

The hotel was very clean, safe with card access only to floors, close to the train station and very friendly staff. They provided all the necessary toiletries and replenished on a daily basis. The shower & tub were top notch along with the amazing toilet that I wanted to take home with me. The room was very spacious and was so quiet at night that I forgot I was in a big city. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
