Just right for day sightseeing base
Perfect for what I needed-just a room to sleep in between sightseeing adventures. Staff very friendly and accommodating-left my luggage for a few hours both before checking in and checking out and retrieved an item I had left in room safe. If I was back in Ueno it would probably be my first choice for convenience and familiarity

This is an interesting building with an inner open-air courtyard that all rooms connect to. It's well located, although still quite a walk to Ueno Station, or the Ueno shopping and restaurant area. It was clean and tidy, but also had the smallest of all the rooms that we stayed in while in Japan! No real room to maneuver or work with two suitcases. You also had to come down to the lobby to get fresh towels or garbage bags

The area was very close to Ueno Station and was convenient for traveling. The room was clean and perfect for two people. The staff spoke a bit of english to make the check in process easier. We appreciated them watching our luggage in the case of early arrival. I would recommend!

Our room was clean but was raining outside and the centre floors are open to the rain. Felt like we were entering our unit from outside. Room was dark as only window was by the bathroom. Decent size unit however. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Mistakenly booked this hotel for another hotel and was a huge mistake. Stayed for 1 night. Room is run down. Smelt cigarette smoke. Used water bottle still on top of the desk/ tv counter. Room feels unclean. Bedsheet underneath duvet had some men's hair on it. (I have long hair) I slept on top of duvet instead. Too tired to go down again and complain. Will never go near this hotel ever again. I am disgusted.

Decent place to stay! Very close to Ueno park so there’s a lot to do. The staff was friendly and knew English, I had to arrive rather late to my booking but they were kind and ran through everything I needed to know, they also leave a complimentary water in the room and that was nice! Shower floor was kinda not the cleanest as there were some hairs in it on arrival, the bed backboard had a few small stains on it and the wall the bed was pushed against had some streaks. Otherwise the accommodations were well priced and convenient! I got a room with a single double bed and when the listing says it’s small it’s SMALL! Haha enough for a single suitcase at the foot of the bed, thankfully I was solo at the time but if you’re sharing with a friend it’ll be a real squeeze!

The rooms are even smaller than shown on the website. There is no chair for the desk. If you sit on the bed to use the little desk, your knees will be hitting the wall. There is no storage. You live out of your suitcase and that takes up much needed space. The bathroom is nice. The breakfast is cheap but you are better off going to Lawson’s.
