The “Bohemian Retreat," a newly renovated 4-bedroom, 2 full bath home is ideally located in the heart of Traverse City. Restaurants, grocery stores, State Park Beach, and East Bay Beach are all within short distance from the house. Enjoy the large fenced-in yard with fireside seating, a grill, and a pergola for alfresco dining.

We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $150 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and 'retired' towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage.

Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

Larger groups and families will have plenty of space to spread out in this roomy, four-bedroom home. Bedroom 1 features a queen bed and two twin build-in bunk beds. Bedroom 2 is equipped with a queen bed, a rocking chair, and a crib for young families. Bedroom 3 is outfitted with a queen bed, a chair, and a beautiful bohemian headboard. There is also a 2-person futon sofa bed in the living room for any additional guests. Bedroom 4 - The newly renovated basement features a bedroom with queen bed and living area with queen sleeper sofa.

This spacious home offers two full, pristine bathrooms that make getting ready that much easier.
Bathroom 1 boasts a shower/tub combo off of main hallway, while Bathroom 2 is equipped with a walk-in shower.

☆☆ KITCHEN & LIVING ROOM ☆☆
The fully equipped kitchen is sure to please the chef in your group. You’ll find stainless steel appliances, plenty of cookware, a spice rack, and anything else you could need to whip up tasty meals.
In between the kitchen and living room is a beautiful wooden dining table with seating for eight.

The living room is perfect for relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. There are two sofas, a rocking chair, a fireplace, and a flat-screen Smart TV with access to HULU live channels, Netflix, and Disney+. There are also board games, books, children's toys and pets amenities available.

☆☆ BASEMENT ☆☆ The newly renovated basement level bedroom features a Queen sized bed, a Queen sofa sleeper, seating area with television and plenty of room for your family get togethers.

☆☆ BACKYARD ☆☆
Enjoy the great outdoors without ever leaving home. The large fenced-in backyard features a pergola for shaded alfresco dining, along with a grill to show off your BBQ skills. This area is fully lit, and there is also a fire pit for guests to enjoy.

Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee, please contact us for further information.

Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. The house was perfect. Absolutely loved the decor. Had everything we needed and they provided extra miscellaneous things if you needed them. The backyard was perfect for the dogs. Cannot get over how well appointed everything was - so cozy and welcoming and just 10/10.

Nice location but poor management on property details and cleanliness.
The location was nice but was lacking some amenities that were not there or was very out dated. Very quite location, Not so much kid friendly more towards dog friendly. Some areas needed attention are here as listed. GOOD: Interior and style was very nice. Beds were comfortable Plenty of room clean inside Bathrooms were nice and spacious The fenced in yard was great Fire pit and patio was relaxing Temperature inside stayed cool Appliances and dinner ware was all in nice shape BAD: Dog hair on couches Spider webs all over outside When we arrived all the windows were unlocked Outside table seemed very unstable Broken dining room stool One of the fire chairs broke and injured a guest Shed was a mess No propane and no back up one No fire sticks Fence was filthy Grill was very filthy and was a fire hazard Pack and play was stained and dirty as well as high chair Both toilet paper holders were broke Outdoor patio furniture ripped and dirty Cameras in back yard made it feel a bit uncomfortable No dressers in rooms

Do not hesitate to book this property. Immediately upon entering this property you are enveloped in a sense of calm and comfort. The decor is lovely, the furniture and beds are comfortable, and the house is very clean and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised at how roomy this house was for 5 adults and a very busy 1 year old. There is a large fenced backyard with dining furniture, seating, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a grill. Downtown Traverse City, public beaches, and grocery stores are all within a 5-10 minute drive. The owner/property manager is very responsive.

This was a lovely home and we certainly enjoyed our stay. We were a group of 8 and fit very comfortably there. I felt like I was at home during the stay, the house had everything that you could think of. The location was amazing minutes away from the beach and downtown. The house was spotless when we got there and that made us feel amazing. The beds were very comfortable. If your debating between this house and a hotel don’t think twice this house is definitely the way to go. Check in and check out process was very easy. Owners were very easy to contact and responded very quickly to any of my questions. Overall 11/10 stay and will definitely be coming back in the future. Book this house don’t think twice you won’t regret it.

Perfect girls getaway!
A group of 7 of us stayed comfortably in this great location! Easy to get to all locations in Traverse and short drive up the Old Mission Peninsula! We even spent a day on Torch lake! Highly recommend that! The house had a great backyard and everything you could need in the house! Very cutely decorated! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. The fireplace was lovely and the space was so warm and relaxing. The big fenced in yard was perfect for the dog and the neighborhood is close to everything in TC. The stay at Bohemian Retreat was great. A quick drive away from downtown and easy access to roads to near by towns and villages. House newly remodeled and really clean. Unfortunately because of weather we were not able to take advantage of amenities in good size backyard-we were so looking forward to a fire and s'mores.

Had a Great Time in Traverse City for the Great Lakes Strongest Man at the Traverse City Pit Spitters Stadium. The home was close to downtown and was very easy to find. It was a great home to stay at for the weekend. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful VRBO Home. If we come back to Traverse City, we will look and see if we can reserve this house again. It was beautiful, cozy and clean. After a long day of competing, we were able to enjoy a dinner and watch football in the main room with my family. I couldn't have asked for a better Saturday evening in a better home. Thank you.

We booked last minute as our travel plans changed. Host was extremely responsive. Place newly renovated and beautifully done. Very clean. Our one issue was the a/c had an issue (typical issue that happens with units). What can you ask for? Before we got there, they recognized the issue and sent someone immediately to fix it and advised us. We’ve been very covid conscious (unvaccinated toddlers) snd it was very uncomfortable to have a maintenance person around during our first vacation since pandemic. He was very respectful and wore a mask around us. So while extremely uncomfortable and affected us leaving the house by choice while he was there they did a great job fixing the issue and were respectful. Great place and highly recommend.
