My family and I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Troy, AL. Our stay was from Thursday, July 18-Sunday, July 21. Our confirmation was for a suite room. We checked in Thursday the 18th for our suite in room 102. After unpacking in our room to get settled for the evening, we noticed the floor was flooded in the doorway to the bedroom and upon opening the closet it was puddled. The front desk claimed it was from cleaning the carpet. The front desk quickly apologized and moved us to another room in 105. This room was a downgrade as they didn’t have any other suites available. We noticed in the middle of the night that the toilet would not flush. The next morning, we were placed in our third room, 107, for this trip. This is not easy being moved so many times due to my wife being in her third trimester pregnant and traveling with a toddler. We have tried multiple times to get answers from multiple employees at Hilton about points compensation and zero progress has been made. This is the worst hotel experience our family has had. Hilton has become our number one choice for hotel stays, but the way this trip has gone has been terrible.

Overall the property is dated. The AC unit was noisy. There was no way to fully close the curtains to block the sun from blaring your eyes, while trying to sleep in. The light fixtures were rusted in the rooms. There were people constantly hanging/sitting around the front of the property.

Staff at front desk was on his personal phone the entire time we were trying to check in. He gave us no information about breakfast - time or where it’s served. Didn’t even tell me what our room number was. Had to look at key holder to figure that out. Then we proceed to elevators to find note posted that elevator was out of service. We were on the 3rd floor!!!! Front desk made NO mention of any of this. Room appears clean.

Comfort Inn not up to Hilton’s standards.
Deal staff were in shorts/ sweatshirts-looked very unprofessional. Although friendly. Room needed work. Shelves falling off wall in bathroom, shower sprayer old and cruddy, new was the worst. The breakfast was good, pastry fresh and the lady who ran the breakfast area very friendly.
