To my guests, welcome to Aspen Ridge Chalet. This is my primary residence which I have enjoyed sharing visitors since 2008. I over see everything my self. I will be available for you during your stay with any questions you may have so please don’t hesitate to contact me 530-412-0933. I have an apt. over my garage with a wonderful couple living there. It is totally separate from my house and they are very quiet. I doubt you will see them. You are not allowed to have any extra guests on the property or inside the house other than the guests that are originally stated when you book. Please do not block the driveway that goes to the garage as it is for my tenants. When you pull into the driveway, drive straight ahead to the red door that will be your entrance to my house. During the winter months please keep your car parked close to the entrance for snow removal. He usually comes early in the am to clear the driveway. Please remove shoes and boots in the laundry room prior to entering the main part of the house. Keeps the floors dry during the winter months and pine sap off the floors in the summer months. On the refrigerator there is a list of a few more things to know (please read). Please note during the winter months the natural gas heater is on a schedule. It comes on at 6am to 70 degrees at 10pm it goes down to 62. You are able to over ride the schedule until the next period when it will revert back to it's schedule. Example if you turn it up during the day it will hold until 10pm then it will revert back to it's schedule. Please be mindful of excessive heat, but I also want you to be warm and comfortable. There are 2 extra space heaters if needed. When you checkout please return the heaters to where you found them. I have down comforters on the beds to keep you nice and warm. I do not provide any extra blankets, so please bring yours if you feel you may need them while lying around watching tv. When you leave during the day please turn the heat down to 65 and when you checkout 65. During the winter months you will notice shovels outside around the different doors. Please make sure you put them back exactly where you found them. Also in the white buckets outside there is ice melt. Good to throw down on icy paths like out to the hot tub. Please keep snow off the hot tub. There is a cover on the hot tub lid. DO NOT REMOVE IT! The hot tub lid opens with it on. If you choose to use the hot tub please shower before to make sure everyone is CLEAN before getting in. It is very important that the hot tub stays clean for every guest. You are renting a property with a hot tub and it will be your responsibility for keeping the snow shoveled off the hot tub in between my snow removal service that I provide as they have many properties that they take care of and it is uncertain when they will arrive. There is a snow blower on the back deck. Please do not use it. It is there for my snow service provider. His name is Eli. He is separate from the snow removal service for the driveways. Check the refrigerator for notes on how to maintain the hot tub prior to using. Super easy. Use your own judgement about your children using the hot tub . No children under the age of 5 are allowed in the hot tub. You must supervise your children at all times when they are in the hot tub no matter their age. No toys allowed and plastic cups only. I have some in the kitchen. Also flip flops (sandals) for getting out to the hot tub, keeps the dirt out. It is a short distance from the house but very cold on your feet. Feel free to adjust the temperature to your comfort but DO NOT SET IT OVER 103. Again No GLASSS in or around the hot tub. There is an empty dresser in the guest room for your personal belongings. Also there is some space to hang clothes in the hall closet and in the main bedroom. For the ladies I have 1 room where I work as a hairdresser. Please feel free to use my products for doing your hair if you like. In the kitchen feel free to use any of my condiments etc. for cooking. You should bring most of your food with you as the markets are very busy. The Safeway is 1 blk. so you can walk. I have 2 coffee pots in the laundry room that you can move into the kitchen. Please return them to the laundry room before checking out. I can also recommend restaurants if you like. The night before you check out please run the dishwasher (as it takes a while to run it’s cycle) and the morning of check out please put all dishes back where you found them. That would be greatly appreciated. The dishes are the guests responsibility and not part of the cleaning fee. The morning of check out please start the laundry. Put either the sheets or towels in the washer (again much appreciated). Please don’t over load and do use the express cycle. It takes very little soap. Don’t go past the 1st line when pouring the detergent into the cup. If you have pets please do not let them on the furniture and clean up after them outside. Please don’t leave your dog home alone. I have had experiences of dogs chewing things when they told me their dog had never damaged anything. I think they can get fearful when left alone in a strange place. Please take out the garbage and recycle before you checkout. There is a bear bin at the bottom of the driveway for trash. After locking the bear bin please remove the key and just let it hang. The recycle bin is under the stairs by the garage. Go out the front door of the house and to the right you will see the garage and the recycle bin. If you cant figure it out please call me. If I think of anything else I will be in touch with you. Please call me if you have any questions. I will contact you prior to your arrival just to confirm everything with you. I hope you enjoy your stay. Please note if you ask for an early checkin or late checkout and I can accommodate there is a $50 charge. Also if you are planning on bringing your dog there is a pet fee $30 per day per pet. Thank you, Denise.
