Hilltop Hideaway is a newly constructed 4BR/3.5BA getaway with stunning forest views from the multi-level decks close to Tahoe Donner. You'll be a 25 minute drive from 3 ski resorts: Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Borreal Mountain! Pick up groceries at Safeway for delicious meals at home or check out the local eateries in Truckee like Old Town Tap or Zuri Coffee.

There are 2 spacious living rooms with endless amenities to keep you entertained. The main living room has a 49" Smart TV, gas fireplace, piano, and comfortable seating. The living room has French doors that lead to the large wrap around deck with a gas BBQ grill and amazing views of the forest/mountains.

The game room has a basketball hoop, poker table, TV, and gas fireplace. After a long day on the slopes, gather around with some hot cocoa and friendly competition.

The spacious kitchen features marble countertops and a breakfast nook by the windows. It is well equipped with a Kitchen Aid mixer, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, and more! Enjoy cooking up large dinners and making popcorn for your friends and family! The dining table is just steps away for 8.

The master bedroom has a comfortable King bed, Smart TV, and an en suite bathroom. Open up the doors to the balcony and wake up to crisp mountain air. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom both have Queen beds and a TV. The 4th bedroom has a King Bed and en suit bathroom and the bonus room has 2 Full beds, great for the kids!

There is a laundry room available with a washer and dryer for longer stays. There is plenty of parking for 3 cars in the driveway and 2 in the garage!

Two (2) webcams are in place for surveillance purposes. The first one is in the kitchen window, facing outward. The second is located near the back door, directed outward towards the far edge of the deck and does not capture footage over the deck.

This property includes 2 guest passes that allow guests to access the Tahoe Donner Association, which offers communal swimming pools, hot tubs, and a sauna; private beach (summers only), and other exclusive amenities. Amenities vary by season and rates are set by Tahoe Donner Association (not included in your reservation). Each pass can accommodate up to 4 people for entry (8 guests total). This house needs some serious TLC. Many things are in very poor condition and not at all in line with a luxury rental at this price point.Pros: - Beautiful Views - Great Neighborhood - Great Bathrooms - Large space for groups Cons:- Furniture is in terrible condition. Extremely worn. The coffee table was literally held together with duct tape.- Beds extremely uncomfortable with linens and pillows that need refreshing - Many things in the house were in poor condition or not working- house needs a fresh coat of paint, old pots and pans, toaster oven did not work, game room games not functional, smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, sink in primary bedroom was broken, cords dangling from the walls…- The interior was not entirely as pictured, rug was missing, furniture was missing, etcI brought these issues up to the management company and it took days for someone to respond, and when I asked what would be done, no one ever got back to me or addressed any of my issues. I’ve stayed at many VRBOs and vacation rentals and this condition was one of the worst. The house has enormous potential, the bones are fantastic but it needs a lot of TLC.

Wonderful property and space. Easy check-in. Loved the view, basketball game, spacious rooms with quality bedding. Our only complaints; Kitchen missing: Grill did not get hot enough, lacking baking dishes (only 1 small) , insufficient sizes of frying pan, no dishwasher detergent, no blue recycle bags —had to bring recycle home.

Plumbing poor on lower level. When reported, no response.overall cleanliness, poor. For a home they sleeps eight, not enough towels, no starter soaps etc., dead mouse found in kitchen, only four cup coffee maker for eight people, very little patio furniture and no information about home in house, how to use tv, express maker etc. definitely did not get our monies worth. Would not rent again!

Couples Retreat
The view and location were wonderful. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and smart TVs to enjoy our shows. We were frustrated by the disgustingly dirty grill that required hours of cleaning to make work properly. The property management company was somewhat responsive. No one ever showed up to look at the grill but the company gave us a small refund for our trouble. There was no air conditioning as advertised.
