Lovely and comfortable room. Breakfast a bit disappointing. Not very large portions for cooked breakfast. Scrambled egg overdone, possibly microwaved. Staff charming throughout.

Nice hotel in a good location. Reasonable value for money. Quaint process required to book a slot for breakfast.Dispite this table service took 1hr on average, with no apparent order.

A pleasant stay but not exceptional
Check in was quick and easy. The room was comfortable and very clean. We found the staff to be amazing and really friendly. Sadly the food let the 2 night stay down a bit. We thought it was a bit overpriced and not great, particularly the breakfast on the first morning. However, next day the breakfast was much improved. Being served 1/2 a field mushroom with breakfast did seem a tad tight!

The room was nicely decorated. The shower room was large & modern. A large fan in room. The staff were excellent! Friendly & helpful. Breakfast took ages. I didn’t like the sausage. Skin was very tough! Overall I loved my stay!

Lovely hotel and very close to city centre
Lovely big room and bathroom, staff were friendly and very attentive during meal times and in the bar. Clean and tidy hotel, lots of stairs to get to rooms, takes a day or two to get your head round the route to the room. Overall a great stay, wouldn’t hesitate to use the Alverton again, great location five minute walk to centre of the city.

Overall good quality. The room was a bit on the crampt side. The one big disappointment was not expected. We found that the food not to the standard we expected. Soup very bland, uncooked mushroom, undercooked sausage.
