This is a very different experience than staying in a hotel. Erin has eight Yurts she imported from Mongolia. There is no TV and you should expect to be fairly quiet. It’s west of 29 Palms and about 20 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. This is in a desert so expect it to be hot but there is air conditioning. The shower is outside. We enjoyed eating dinner on the picnic table followed by sitting outside and watching the stars as the night deepened. Much more fun than a hotel.
Definitely a nice experience. We loved how quiet it was and the stars were so pretty. We took paper plates, disposable silverware. Bring in your own water to drink. I’d bring a small thing of dish soap and something to scrub with. We cooked more than once and needed to clean the pans. Erin was a wonderful host and will meet your needs when possible. Definitely a cool experience!
This was an amazing "glamping" experience. I am absolutely not a camper, so the cleanliness and comfort of the yurt exceeded my expectations. There's no patio or balcony (one of the review questions) just the beautiful expansiveness of the desert. The shower and commode are right outside the yurt and was super clean. The host is awesome too!!
The property was far enough from the town lights so that you get an awesome view of the stars! The bed was very comfortable and the fire pit was great. We sat outside under the stars with the fire and our wine, perfect!
Wonderful friend group get-away for the weekend. The yurt was clean and had everything you may need for your stay including dishes, cooking utensils, coffee, etc. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.
By the way, the view is amazing!
Erin was kind and so the rest of the staff we met. Thank you Erin.
Yurt was clean and beautiful and Fully stocked. And LOVED THAT WE DID NOT HAVE TO WASH DISHES ON VACATION.
One small but important thing that I wish I knew. Apparently we were the first for the season to run into a rattlesnake. Meaning , they are common but we had no idea and we had a baby with us.
We found it under the pallet in front of our door.
Just be aware they are on the property.
