Wapa Di Ume is a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. It feels very traditional and formal, in both look and service compared to some other places we stayed while in Bali. The staff is all very friendly and professional, and happy to help. The rooms are huge, and very minimally decorated, which is both practical and calming. The super-sized beds are super inviting. The spa was lovely, we booked a couples spa package that included a Balinese massage, body scrub, and flower bath overlooking the jungle and grounds - perhaps the highlight of our stay. The hotel restaurant was very good, and the floating breakfast was lovely in the infinity pool, which we had to ourselves.

My Favorite Hotel in Ubud!
Wapa Di Umi Ubud feels like family. This was my second stay at this wonderful resort just on the outskirts of Ubud. Located just a short distance from the hustle bustle of Ubud, Wapa Di Ume is a peaceful retreat that reflects the beauty and tradition of Bali. The entire staff goes the extra mile and everyone is so professional, gracious and kind. This resort was recommended to us by the manager of a resort in Seminyak. They have a Spa, restaurant, two pools with bar area, shuttle to and from Ubud and they offer excursions, activities and entertainment. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and are equipped with refrigerators with minibars, kettles and the necessities you may need. I book the one bedroom villa at an affordable rate. I will definitely be returning to Wapa Di Ume for all of my stays in Ubud. Thank you for making us feel like family! ❤️❤️❤️

Good stay, but plenty room for improvement
We booked the family villa and it was beautiful, just like the resort. Few resorts in Ubud have beautiful scenery like this one - right on a rice field (not terrace), with an infinity pool and a spa. My favorite part was that the resort offers activities like yoga classes and rice paddy walk. That was a nice bonus. They also arranged breakfast in pool but this felt a but overpriced considering breakfast is already included in the reservation and it was not any different. Areas of improvement are: 1) the gym - it’s in poor condition with some machines not working. No A/C. 2) entire resort is poorly lit at night. Lighting needs to be better. We almost tripped several times cause it was too dark. 3) pest control needs to improve - our room was full of spider webs and wasps. We wouldn’t care but it got to a point where we had bugs in our beds. 4) Communication - teach your staff English. We had tons of miscommunications with appointments. 5) The spa needs more attention. We had a bad massage here, towels were dirty, booked for 1 hr but lasted only 40 minutes. Masseuses were tired as it was end of day. 6) room safe was broken Based on these reasons, although I didn’t mind my stay here, I would rather stay at a different resort next time I’m in Ubud.

Beautiful place. Love the peacefulness and quietness of this place. Not too far from Ubud shopping center. They have a shuttle to take you to the center and pick you up. All staff were friendly. Attentive and prompt to any concerns. We stayed there 8 days. Suprasa the manager was really nice, upgraded our room with a private pool when he noticed we were staying for couple days. Checked in on us to see how everything was and attentive to needs and concerns. We had breakfast here everyday overlooking the beautiful rice terrace, there was a good selection of choices. We were usually out exploring so we had lunch and dinner somewhere else. But the restaurant does serve lunch and dinner as well. The Infiniti pool was very enjoyable. My heart misses everyone at this beautiful resort.

As good or better than the photos. Very large individual pool and huge room. Bathroom top notch and very clean and super quiet at night. The on site restaurant was better than anywhere else we ate in Ubud and staff could not be more helpful or friendly. Definitely stay there again unless this and other positive reviews push prices out of our range!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 9 night stay at Wapa di Ume Ubud. This was my third visit to Ubud in the past five years, and I stayed at two other resorts on my previous trips. Wapa di Ume Ubud had turned out to be my favorite resort by far. For my future visits to Ubud, I will only stay here from now on. The hotel staff are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff were so amazing. Everyone greeted me each time with a big, authentic smile. I felt like I was treated like family or a friend, not just as a guest. I highly recommend the villa with private pool. Everything I had at Mr. Wayan, Coffee and Eatery was exceptional, from their Indonesian selections to their Western selections. I am looking forward to returning to Wapa di Ume Ubud next year.

The peacefulness and the staff make this hotel outstanding . We got a free upgrade which was amazing and the rooms are wonderful . The tranquility of the surroundings are a welcome contrast to the chaos of Ubud centre where you can get a free hotel shuttle. Yoga and Lesminnie where both outstanding in their kindness and nothing ever seems to much to ask

Excellent mini villa.
The views are excellent and the service is extraordinary. The hotel is also very conveniently located near the art market and shopping area. Breakfast is really good too! Getting around within the property requires quite a lot of unsheltered walking.

This place was probably once amazing. Not at all anymore. The handle in our shower came right off. No hot water or pressure to begin with. They did fix it but would not use the tub for any reason. Both the tub and the toilet looked like they had been leaking and improperly fixed. Throughout the property there was mold on many of the outdoor surfaces. The breakfast was not good at all. One day the yogurt was warm. Another the scrambled eggs were not even close to cooked. The stench throughout the grounds was absolutely disgusting. I honestly have no idea how this has as many stars as it does. The only positive was the staff's friendliness.
