Just steps from the station
The hotel is very easy to access from the Shinkansen station without needing to cross any streets. The breakfast was quite good and with variety we find in typical business hotels in Japan.

View from the room is gorgeous. Service is one of the best. Room is NOT small. Hotel is located right front of Ueda station of Shinkansen. I will stay this hotel when I visit Ueno, Nagano.

Soutetsu Fresa was a wonderful stay. We checked in at night and a baby bat was outside on the sidewalk. That was fairly shocking! The bed was firm yet supple. No complaints here, I had a great time.

Decent hotel, but hard to find!
The hotel did the job, however it was not easy to find by car & once you have parked up in the adjacent car park, it is also unclear as to where you need to go in order to reach the connecting hotel. Better signage would be really useful. The hotel itself is fine & serves its purpose. It won’t live in the memory for any good or bad reasons.
