A great stay!
Really great weekend away, only 3 hours from Johannesburg. Staff were wonderful, food was tasty and room was neat and clean. Got to see a lot of wild life including 2 male lions close up.

Weekend getaway
The stay and accomodation were more than adequate, the views were amazing. The only problem was that we didn't get to see much game on the drive, but again the views were stunning.

All was perfect.the dinner was very delicat
It is a wonderful aerier. We get an upgrate of our bookink so we lived for two days in the cheettahous .their a anrolopes and girafs on the ground you can watch it from zhe balkony. And we make a cicly tpur with the mountenbices at zhe ways by zhe reserve.

Great experience!!
Would love to return in the future. All the staff were amazing and couldn't be more attentive, friendly and helpful. The reserve offers so much and felt it was real value for money with the availabilty of walking trails, mountain biking and drives offered within the reserve.

A recommander ! Absolument magnifique.
Allez y sans inquiétude. Logdes sublimes, personnel adorable, vue magnifique, au milieu des animaux, paradis pour les enfants, balades possibles au milieu des girafes et zèbres (à pieds ou en velos). Absolument magnifique ! Vous pourrez également faire des safaris pour voir les bigs 5, 3x par jour (dont 1 inclus par nuit sur place).

Ein traumhaftes Fleckchen Erde. Afrika pur. Super Landschaft, tolle Tiere und freundliche Menschen. Bitte unbedingt den 6 Stunden Game-Drive buchen. Man sieht da noch einmal eine ganz andere Landschaft als auf dem 3-Stunden-Drive. Man ist quasi alleine unterwegs und hört außer der Natur nichts mehr. Paradiesisch. Toll ist auch, dass man sich auf der Lodge zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad alleine bewegen kann. Das hatten wir bisher noch nirgends. Wir empfehlen diese Lodge uneingeschränkt weiter!!

In dit hotel wordt je echt als gast behandeld, niets is teveel en iedereen is super vriendelijk. Wij kregen een gratis upgrade aangeboden naar een 6 persoons villa omdat daar klamboes in zaten! Ook is de WIFI gratis.

Leuke lodge en mooie natuur/safari
Heerlijke lodge waarbij je echt het Afrika gevoel krijgt. Leuk is dat je in de directe omgeving vrij kunt wandelen of fietsen en dat je binnen een paar minuten op safari kunt in big 5 gebied! Zwembad is heerlijk, eten prima en personeel zeer vriendelijk.

Für ein paar ruhige Tage im Busch zu verbringen empfehlenswert. Welgevonden als Big5 Reservat fehlt mir persönlich das „Safari feeling“. Sehr offen ohne viel Bäume wie z.b. In den Krüger Wildreservaten. Grosser Pool, Aussicht, auch für Kinder geeignet - Malaria frei. Nette Leute, gute Bedienung und sehr feines Essen.

Wij hebben hier 3 dagen doorgebracht. Het zijn hele mooie huisjes in een prachtige setting. Het eten en drinken is prima en ook de gamedrives op het eigen terrein zijn leuk, je komt dichtbij de dieren. Je kan er wandelen en we hebben gemountainbiked, wat een bijzondere ervaring is tussen de giraffen! Enkele kanttekeningen; wij vinden het best prijzig (€ 1.200 voor 3 overnachtingen HP met 2 kinderen en 2 volwassenen) dan mag het gebruik van de mountainbikes wel inclusief zijn in plaats dat hier nog weer voor betaald moet worden. Dat geldt ook voor het avondeten; onze jongens van 14 en 12 jaar lusten wel een regulier menu in plaats van een kindermenu, ook hier moesten we extra voor betalen. Ook de gamedrive met de ranger van Kololo in het naastgelegen big 5-gebied Welgevonden werd apart gefactureerd (dit was overigens wel bekend op voorhand). Onze tip: biedt dit de gasten aan bij een bepaald aantal overnachtingen. Conclusie: hele leuke safari light in een prachtige omgeving, 2 nachten was voor ons gezin achteraf voldoende en qua prijsstelling fors gezien de extra`s zoals vermeld.

Super séjour au kololo. Lodge magnifique, personnel sympathique et aux petits soins. Le plus est de sa ballader à pied au milieu des animaux qui viennent également le soir devant la chambre ou la terrasse.

Schöne Lodge für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt
Wir waren zu dritt eine Nacht in Kololo und haben die Lodge sehr genossen: die geräumigen, schönen Zimmer waren sehr sauber, die tolle Terrasse mit dem Blick auf die Wasserstelle. Es gab ein gutes Frühstücks-Buffet und das Personal war sehr gastfreundlich. Wir haben bei der kleinen Kololo-Safari Giraffen, Affen, Zebras, Antilopen gesehen, aber insgesamt ist das Kololo Game Reserve nicht so natürlich wie andere Parks. Allerdings hat man die Möglichkeit, von Kololo aus eine Safari in Welgefonden zu machen.

Toller Service, tolle Location, ideal zum Abschluß
Sehr schöne ruhige Location abseits aller Trubelrouten. Wir waren allerdings auch während der Nebensaison vor Ort. Game Drive mindestens 3 Stunden ist zu empfehlen, besser 6 Stunden. Sehr viele Antilopen, auch Elefanten, Giraffen, Nashörner. Für Katzen braucht es Glück und Geduld. Toller Service, sehr schönes Haus, Essen gut, toller Poobereich mit Aussicht (haben während der schwimmens Elefant gesehen). Verschiede Antilopenarten direkt am Haus. Nach drei Wochen auf Camp Sites ein toller Abschluß des Tripps durch SA

Het verblijf was er geweldig.We verbleven er met twee kinderen van 10 en 12 jaar.Het is er heerlijk vertoeven en het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.Enige minpuntje was het zwembad.Er stond vermeld dat dit verwarmd was.Het water was echt koud en in deze tijd van het jaar( Juli/Augustus) kun je er zeker niet in zwemmen.

Prachtige locatie, prijs vs kwaliteit niet juist.
Lodge is mooi gelegen, maar wel erg afgelegen. Familiehuis was erg mooi, maar niet erg schoon. Eten was op zich goed, maar weinig of geen keus. Wat erg tegenviel was dat bij het inbegrepen ontbijt moest worden betaald voor de koffie. Onze keus was oa gevallen op Kololo vanwege activiteiten, maar vanwege lage bezettingsgraad van de lodge gingen activiteiten niet door. Al met al wordt er dus meer beloofd dan dat er waargemaakt wordt.
