The hotel staff was very friendly. They went above and beyond to make the family comfortable. We had requested a connected room and were told we were going to get a connected room, but I think there was a misunderstanding, and the front desk was very friendly about not being able to Give this to us and delivered champagne which we were not gonna use but also give us $100 credit and food and beverage. Our rooms were right next to each other, though. Aside from that the hotel stay was wonderful.

I will definitely be back to this resort. One hiccup the entire trip at the Ludwig. Breakfast is pricey, which was expected however the main attraction omelette station was late getting started. The attendant was not apologetic. We were unable to get this service because of a planned ski instruction. We did not go back to the restaurant.. everything else was perfect.

My husband has been staying here for years for business, and always says good things. I finally "bit the bullet" and booked a room during early ski season. It was absolute perfection. The room was gorgeous, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, the breakfast buffet was divine and the live music in the evening was lovely. This may become a new family tradition :).

We stay at the Sonnenalp whenever we can. This time we were there while my wife had hip replacement surgery. Everything was lovely. The room was spacious and clean. The staff, as always, was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s not super fancy, but it’s quite nice, and it’s all one needs.

Sonnenalp is a great family owned hotel. It does have what seems like very low ceilings, so it makes it feel less luxurious, but it is still a wonderful property with kind staff. The room was very warm & would not cool down without opening the windows, and that was frustrating, but overall was a very nice experience.

The spa was clean and perfectly maintained, and every interaction with staff was fantastic. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special, and exhibited an extraordinary level of service. Perfect location, and the restaurants were excellent. I can't think of any way they could have made our stay better than it was.

Overall it was a great trip. However, my husband and I got food poisoning. We narrowed it down to either the cookies they give you at turn down service or from the coffee cups meant to be used with the Nespresso machine. We happened to be in our room one morning when maid service came around and she definitely was wearing gloves but used those gloves to clean the toilet and then handle mugs. Really gross when I think about it. Majority of the staff was great, superb. One bell hop may have been having a bad day but totally hit my child with the cart and didn’t even stop to see if they were ok. A lot of highlights but also some worrisome things observed.
