Great place to stay. Perfect location for visiting the sites of Valladolid. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff friendly, breakfast good. Would recommend.
This was a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was very nice and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the AC worked well, it was clean, and it was perfectly located. Would highly recommend.
The hotel is good; I just recommend to prohibit to guests to put their cloths to dry on the balcony; that demotes the view of the hotel on the main patio.
We (Mother and 11 year old son) made a very late decision to visit Valladolid for Christmas and the hotels that were recommended by a travel agent friend were all fully booked. The reviews for Real Hispano were great and the location seemed perfect based on my Valladolid research, so I booked it, but I was honestly a bit nervous because it was so affordable. Well, I was beyond pleasantly surprised when we arrived, I could not believe how nice the hotel was for the price and the location is absolutely perfect to enjoy the charm of Valladolid. The hotel is a 30 second walk from the bustling town square and close to all of the top attractions. Bonus, Chichen Itza is a safe and easy 45 minute drive, Ek Balam 30 minutes. There were a few things that were not ideal and good to know if you stay here. Parking at the hotel is a bit limited, but they do have a huge private parking lot a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which was fine and felt safe even in the dark. We had to leave very early on our last day to get to the airport and we were parked at the hotel. If you need to check out early, there is no one at the desk before 6. There was a car blocking us in and we couldn’t get out. The front desk person said it belonged to one of the hotel staff. We waited for someone to move it and no one came, so I forced my way through because we were dangerously close to missing our flight. This is the only reason I’m giving 4 and not 5 stars - I would recommend this hotel to any and all travelers.
The property offered a great getaway from the town itself even though it was in the heart of the town. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Particularly the people working the bar by the pool. I would recommend staying here.
It was a mostly lovely stay, but...the walls are PAPER THIN. I could hear sweeping upstairs! I've never heard that before unless the person sweeping was in the same room as me. My neighbors were loud but also you could just hear everything going on so it was very hard to get rest and sleep. I also went up the wrong stairs, it was dark and I twisted my foot on a very small step in the middle of the halfway that I could not see because the lights were off at 8pm. My foot is still swollen and it's making my trip difficult. I liked that the property was super centrally located, that makes up for a lot of it. The hotel also arranged a really nice day tour for me through a taxi service, which was the highlight of my stay.
A beautiful well kept hotel a half-block from the central plaza. We loved the big open feel of the courtyard, bar, pool, and dining area of the historic Spanish architecture. Our room was nice and airy too. Super quiet at night. We liked the honey shampoo and the chocolate soap bar. The little things. Lastly, the ADO station is a short walk away as is most everything a visitor to Valladolid might wish. We’re talking Ek Balam, Chichan Itza, and many many cenotes.
Real Hispano is the only hotel we’ve stayed at in Valladolid, but I can’t imagine there is a better one. The location is perfect, the property is gorgeous, and the service is excellent. The rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. There is no coffeemaker in the room, but that is not unusual for the Yucatan, in our experience. The pool is beautiful and clean, with plenty of lounging area. The hotel is a short walk to the main plaza and to many restaurants, and it has its own very good restaurant. It is also within walking distance of Cenote Zaci. The front desk is occupied all the time, which is a plus. All in all, a wonderful experience.
LOCATION: This hotel has a great location, its a block away from the main square and shops.
ROOM: Very spacious room. However, it could use a mini fridge in there. With the sweltering heat (mid 90s) in early November it could have save me a trip to the corner market Oxxo to get cold water, it does have A/C and the bed was very comfortable and full of pillows. Not sure if I was tired from visiting various cenotes but it was rested the next day.
BATHROOM: it has a small swinging 3x makeup mirror on the wall with and the shower floor can get slippery, If it weren't for the grab bar I could have been on the floor, so be careful.
RESTAURANT: The food was good, from the waffles to the chilaquiles and I recommend the Yucatan drink Chaya Mix (pineapple, lemon extracts) its delicious and very refreshing.
POOL: The Valladolid heat is no joke, it was refreshing to jump in. There is some hammocks underneath a patio cover over some water and a few lounge chairs to hang out and get a tan. The complex has a rooftop area on the 4th floor and has good views of the city.
OVERALL: As this was a solo trip, I would stay there again and is family friendly.
