Thanksgiving at Queensbridge

Wonderful stay at a very nice property. Randi was extremely helpful, responsive and accessible as a property manager. We had a spa problem and the owner came by within hours and fixed it himself. While he was there, I mentioned a TV remote control that wasn't working. Amazingly, a new one arrived on the front porch via Amazon/FedEx before dark! Very impressed with service and responsiveness. We had 6 adults and 6 kids having alot of fun and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

Spacious Home

Lots of space in the common areas inside and outside for large groups. The kitchen is fairly well stocked, however there is a limited amount of forks (15) and mugs (4). Would have been nice to have dish towels for drying. The primary bedroom is HUGE! You could easily fit a queen sized mattress in the zen room and the walk in closet could act as an extra bedroom as well. 3 of the queen bedrooms are tight, and beds are low to ground. The primary bathroom is the only one attached to a bedroom. One of the bathrooms in the main house is clear across the house from the bedrooms. Based on other reviews we brought our own pool towels. They really should just provide 16 pool towels as standard operating procedure. We saw lots of birds, a bunny, and rescued a few frogs from the pool. There is no washer or dryer and parking is in the spacious driveway; there’s no garage parking. This really is a great house for multiple families to enjoy.

Great place for big groups!

We stayed here with our friends for our wedding weekend and it was the perfect place to stay for a big group. Everyone had a room and enough space, they gave us enough towels, plates, cups, cutlery, etc. for the size of the place. Some places miss those essentials. The only bummer was we couldn’t get the internet to work but we were having such a good time we barely needed it! Randi, the local manager, was responsive, prompt, and so kind. Highly recommend for a getaway, family reunion, or any stay in the area!

Girl Scout Reunion (nine - 11/12 year old girls and six moms)

This is a luxuriously expansive estate nestled amidst the beautiful canyons of Escondido. The furniture was comfortable and tasteful. We loved that there were places to sit and have cozy conversations at every turn inside and out. This is also an estate that you could visit with family or friends and never have to leave to have a good time. There are sooooo many amenities (pool, 2 jacuzzis, a tennis court, and game room) and the grounds are extensive enough that you could host a wedding, a family game of football, or even bring your horse. The host was resourceful, welcoming, and gracious and check in and out procedures were a breeze. We were GRATEFUL!! The only thing I would add to this place are a few more basic kitchen essentials like an ice cream scoop (haha), more kitchen dish towels (though there were plenty of bath towels), a whisk and laundry. It was fine since we were just staying there for two nights, but if I wanted to rent this place for a week, it would be inconveniencing to not have laundry facilities being that it is not really very close to the city. Though we did appreciate the 21 minute drive to the San Diego Safari Park! Over all, we would rent this place again in a heart beat and highly recommend it for others!

Spacious property

We had an amazing time at the property. There was a total of 18 of us there to relax and the place did not disappoint. We enjoyed the tennis courts and the dogs loved running around the big, grassy field. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it for others to use!

Great Family Getaway

We loved our stay here! The kids had fun running around in circles through the house since it was so open. We all loved the pool, although it wasn't heated and a bit chilly. There are two jacuzzis - so room for everybody. The game room was another great gathering place. We all had a great time here!

Family holiday get together

This place has several seating areas and just a huge overall living space, perfect for the 10 we planned. We made dinner in the well stocked kitchen 4 nights, used the grill, had a fire, and a soak in the hot tub. The ping pong table and the tennis court got the most use. If you have a large group that wants to spend time with each other, this place is perfect. And having our dog welcome was an additional benefit.

Family Celebration

We gathered our family of 8 for the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. We were delighted with with this property. The tastefully appointed decor and expansive space made for an upscale getaway weekend. Though it was too cold to enjoy the pool, we made good use of the game room. Things we were interested to see and do were fairly nearby. The water situation was perplexing as some have noted in previous replies. It’s a bit disheartening as the modern upgrades have “the promise” of a comfortable shower. Aside from this, we loved everything offered here.

Nice Place---Bad Plumbing

This is a nice place for a family reunion but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because the showers are one of three temperatures; Cold, Sort of Cold and the default which is Scalding Hot. With small children we had to be constantly on the watch to be sure they weren't burned After alerting the property representative it took 48 hours for the owner and a plumber to show up. After they worked on the plumbing they had fixed two of the bathrooms but warned us to not use the shower in the master bath. Now, after their repairs the bathroom in the casita only had cold water! The property representative asked us, when we arrived, if we needed anything? We asked for more towels (there were 17 of us staying in the home). It was two days later before she dropped off more towels. This was a family reunion with our five children and their families. We had fun, but the house (plumbing and spiders) took away from the experience. I wouldn't recommend this property.

Beautiful home

We had a great time at this beautiful property! Randi was available at all hours by text or a phone call and ready to drop by to help at any moment. The game room, pool and 2 hot tubs were enjoyed by everyone. We loved how the kitchen window opened up to the pool and outdoor area so it felt like one big space. I wish we could've stayed here longer! However, a downfall I would note is the water in most bathrooms were cold to warm, and it never quite got hot except in the master bath. Not a big deal since we visited in warm weather, but it would be a good idea to space out showers!

Lovely home

This is a lovely home in a very quiet neighborhood. It is large enough to accommodate a larger group with the two separate family room areas. Our stay was for a week over Christmas. The house outside was decorated and there was a lighted Christmas tree inside which was very special. There were lots of spices which was a plus as we cooked and ate all our meals at the house. The tennis court was a hit for the kids as well as hiking trails close by. One could make more use of the amenities offered in warmer weather, but we still came up with ideas. We did a polar plunge with a lot of the family participating. The hot tub was welcomed warmth after the polar plunge. All in all, it was a wonderful place for our family to gather over Christmas.

This House is HOT

The house was exactly what we wanted for this stay, there was plenty of room and looks exactly like the photos. However, upon arrival we asked for an early check-in and I was originally told that an early check-in was not possible, but the manager would check with the owner and get back to me. The manager never actually got back to me I had to contact her back. Once we spoke she said they would do what they could because the cleaning crew didn't get there until 11am that same day from the prior tenants. The instructions in the email received stated that we would be contacted by the manager the day of check in but she did not reach out to us. I reached out to her and she gave me 3 different times to check-in and when we were on our way she didn't provide me with access to the house, I had to call her to get that information. She was supposed to meet us at the property and also did not. When we finally got into the property it was extremely HOT. The house is large and the vaulted ceilings with the skylights make it hotter during the day. It took all day to cool the house down since they have you turn off the units upon checkout. The house did not start to cool until the sun went down. Also the mini fridge in the living room wasn't working and the main a/c unit in the upstairs apartment was blowing hot air around and not getting cold. Lastly, the pool was dirty, so we couldn't use it for the first night. Apparently the prior tenants turned off the pump and it was filthy. So the manager called the pool cleaners and they came out to clean while we were hanging out on the patio because it was too hot inside. There also is not a washer and dryer in the property so, if you stay here do not plan on washing clothes. And you will need to bring your own additional towels and wash cloths because there were not any additional inside the house. Overall, the house was a nice place to stay, but be prepared to be extremely hot. The last night we were there the unit froze and was not cold at all. We slept in 82 degrees that night and there was nothing the property manager could do. Also, when I called the manager about the house not cooling down on the last night at all she decided to tell me we had a noise complaint that day which was impossible because no one was there the entire day, we were at the beach. I have asked for some type of refund because of these issues, but I haven't heard from the property manager yet so we will see.

Best place I’ve ever stayed!!

This property was truly our of this world!!! We have done a ton of retreats and this place far exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a hidden gem and I cannot recommend it enough. The property manager was fantastic and we will definitely be booking again soon!!

A fun, spacious, well-appointed, and beautiful property, in the middle of nowhere??

My husband and I sought a property-driving distance from Los Angeles, with a pool to exercise, a fenced in yard for our dogs, a large kitchen to make healthy food, and a washer/dryer! The house delivered all, and beautifully so, with the exception of a washer/dryer, although advertised. The manager was beyond helpful, and the property was well stocked and nicely furnished! The kitchen was fantastic with 2 islands and great appliances! The pantry was delightful! We were looking for a respite and space to stretch out, (visiting our kids in LA for 5 weeks); so location didn’t matter to us, however this gated home is on a dusty residential flat street with modest ranch homes - consider: dogs barking at night, rooster crowing in morning , feral dogs crossing property, large bull frogs in the pool, etc. Our pups were entertained... lol! A surprising bonus for us: property’s play room (with ping pong and billiards), and outside tennis courts! We (and pups) had such a fun time! Grateful for the experience. Many bedrooms/ bathrooms - can easily support a large family gathering. Would recommend.

Wonderful stay. Our 9 grandkids had a great time. Lots to do at Queensbridge home- pool, tennis courts, game room. Spacious, comfortable. Great kitchen- well supplied. Beds for all of us- 17. Comfortable patio too. Master bedroom is amazing for grandma and grandpa.

The house is amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice it is a huge beautiful home.

It was is a huge beautiful home with lots of entertainment in the house. Profess was easy and simple.

Amazing house!!

My 6 girlfriends and I rented this property for a weekend getaway and couldn’t have been happier with it. Randi, the property manager was prompt to respond and made check in a breeze. The pass through at the kitchen was our favorite amenity! Brilliant! The property was sprawling. The attention to detail in this Newley remolded home was superb. The kitchen was perfectly appointed. They even had a whole bag of Pete’s coffee and espresso for us. This house would be great for a family reunion too! We will be back.

Fabulous!

The property is even better than the photos. Lots of space for a large gathering. Everything was ready, the property manager was responsive and attentive. Can't say enough - we enjoyed the outdoor space, the bbq and loved the spacious kitchen. At the end of our stay the family said we should meet there every year.. thank you for a memoriable occasion.
