It was very close to the downtown area and many of the tourist attractions. The landlord was friendly and accommodating. He even gave us a small parting gift which was very nice of him. I would definitely stay there again if I ever come to Vancouver in the future.

SCAM - AVOID THIS PROPERTY!!!!! After a long drive, we arrived at the location to discover that the rental is a basement with one room, although presented on Expedia as a whole house. You have to walk around the house on a small dark pathway to get to stairs below floor level. Since we didn’t get any instructions from the owner by email, we just knocked on the main door of the house. After 20 minutes, someone finally opens the door and take us to the back of the house (we would have never found it by ourselves) and since he is not the owner - as he says in a very broken English— he doesn’t have the code to let us in. We waited until this could be figured out by him, and when he couldn’t, he told us the owner would cancel the reservation since we were not able to enter the unit. Which HE DIDN’T. We got charged the full amount. We had to book another rental for the night. If I could, I would give it zero stars. This is NOT a way to treat travelers.

Property was great, we had a bit of challenge with the restavio app to check in and get our check instructions. We got hold of customer service and property manager who assisted us gettint in.

The good of this property was that is was nice and spacious and had everything we needed. Negatives were that the rug was covered in dog hair which wasn’t the nicest as we got in on our stuff and lots of dirt under the couch which should have been cleaned. Also many plugs around don’t work so charging things and using coffee machine was a pain as we were constantly having to move things. To use other things. Other issue was the tub didn’t drain well so we were standing in a lot of water to shower.

If you enter the address into a GPS it takes you to the front of the property but the entry is actually an alley way at the back of the house which was awkward to find in the dark. The steps down to the entrance are unsafe as they are steep and the steps are not wide enough to place your full foot so you need to walk down sideways which is difficult with a heavy suitcase. The bed in the second bedroom creaked every time you moved which resulted in a disturbed nights sleep.

Highly recommend!
We were extremely happy with our stay here. The location is excellent (we caught the Nanaimo Ferry the morning of checkout, and it’s only 12 km from Horseshoe Bay). Other things we liked are the amenities, ease with check in and check out, the amazingly comfortable mattress ( I am buying the same one when we get home), the excellent wifi and laundry facilities, and the cleanliness of the apartment. We rate places by whether or not we would stay again, and the answer is a definite yes.

Great place to stay
Suit was extremely clean and quiet , check in check out was a breeze using the key pad. Location was great for us as we were there for Grouse Mountain, however getting to the beaches took over an hour due to traffic. A couple things to note: we were only given 3 towels at check in, we booked for 4 people and the kitchen was lacking a few items we would have expected such as a cheese greater and can opener, but it wasn’t the end of the world, the owner lives upstairs and was able to provide a towel and can opener.
