Walked in with Amex asking for a paid upgrade. Was rudely told there were no rooms. Understandable; could have been done without the attitude from the spanish male concierge. Found a family of rats running in the room. Suddenly a room opened up for us to move. It might be hard for me to believe that there was no room to upgrade to in the first place. Hats off to the filipina concierge for the fast reaction and the maintenance team who came to help. Rat traps found underneath bed and behind the sofa. Clearly, rats were already expected to be in this room. Glad to have the rest of the trip rat-less. Still the first day was a disaster. Please avoid like the plague.

This hotel is in a very good location in the west end Vancouver. It offers spacious rooms, large king beds and access to a restaurant/lounge on site. The cleaning staff are very good, although the room and furniture is outdated it still is clean and comfortable. It is one of the better priced places to stay in the west end!

Great location to enjoy Vancouver as a tourist. Although an older facility, it was well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful and the onsite parking was very convenient. The balcony was a pleasant experience for an urban setting.
