We loved the location of the hotel for access to the theatres on Granville street. The hotel is older but well kept. We would stay here again.

Perfectly fine
Perfectly adequate hotel for the purposes of sleeping and exploring the city. Nothing fancy but friendly, helpful staff and well located. Caution in the bathroom, the floor was very uneven, to the point of it being a bit disorienting.

This hotel offers excellent value for money in a city where hotels can be very expensive. With that in mind allowances need to be made. The room was very clean and a good size for a city hotel. Often there is dirt in corners in the bathroom but it was spotless. The room was also well decorated. The staff were great, friendly, helpful and always smiling. That said several things let the room down from being outstanding. The wardrobe doors were of old wooden panel design and one of the doors was loose and crooked meaning they did not shut properly. Also the entrance door was old, if not original, painted in a dark colour. These could be replaced with lighter more modern matching doors for minimal cost and would greatly improve the overall look and provide a modern feel to the room. There was a desk and table and also a second similar type chair in the corner. This was not comfortable to sit in for any length of time. Unfortunately my wife was unwell for a couple of days and confined to the room and a more comfortable second chair would have been better. The property is older so the soundproofing between the rooms is not great and if people in the next room were loud you could hear them. Also the operation of the shower next door was quite loud. Whilst you can hear outside noise it’s in a city so it should be expected Overall This hotel is convenient for the shops being only 1 block from Granville St, and walkable to the Waterfront area, Canada Place and other local areas

This hotel was the perfect spot for the venue I was attending, but the room itself was quite run down and dusty , the tv was tiny and lots of the channels didn’t work or even match the card provided , all the bars and restaurants connected closed early, the mattress on the bed was horrible it was like sleeping on and brick and the sheets had an almost plastic like texture for paying over $400 for 2 nights I expected a bit better

Good for a stopover, a bit noisy
A great Hotel for our one night stopover in VC. The staff are very friendly and the hotel rooms are clean, comfortable and have been updated. We stayed a Friday night so there was a fair bit of street traffic and party goes to be heard until 3am. 450mtrs from a train station and an easy walk to the waterfront. Plenty of shopping and eating options close by. Worth considering if you're a solid sleeper.

Older hotel, but Nicely renovated bathroom. Difficult to find parking to check in. Paid Parking for hotel is actually across the street, but secured by two gates. Otherwise, convenient location for walking around to restaurants and Roger’s Arena/BC Place.

The staff at the front desk were the highlight for us. They were super helpful and friendly in every possible way and really went out of their way to help us out. The room itself was clean and quiet - a little threadbare but definitely clean and cozy! The location was great as well. A block from Grand Ave and right around the corner from multiple theaters.
