Hotel Aquarius is a beautiful property away from the crowds but close enough to the major landmarks to make it the perfect place to stay in Venice. We were able to walk everywhere with our 6 year old son, a couple of gondola rides just for fun but the hotel is only around a 15 minutes walk to the main attractions in the grand canal so it was perfect. The room is beautiful, extremely clean and comfortable. The drapes are luxuriously thick and smell wonderful. The bathroom was spotless which, for me, is crucial in a hotel room. The breakfast is nice and the service great, they had our table ready every morning. There is a great coffee place next door with pastries and pizza. Perfect place to stay in Venice!
Reasonable hotel with a few flaws. The family apartment rooms are good for a family of four but there are some issues. The air conditioning (for cold air) only works in the summer. In the winter it’s used for heating. So even in Feb it was quite stuffy in the rooms and we had to open the window for cold air. Unfortunately local noises kept waking us up. Also neither of the TV worked nor the safe (bad instructions) and also the lights in the bathroom went out when you plugged a hairdryer in.
Very quiet two bedroom suite, located in a very quiet plaza, just 10 minute walk from the train station, and about 20 minute walk to the Basilica Di San Marco. The suite was clean spacious and had everything we needed.
Great hotel. Close to the train station and to the center. Lots of good restaurants around and grocery store. Good breakfast. We stayed at the two bedroom apartment and it spacious for 4 people.
The hotel is newly renovated, and its location is within walking distance of the center of Venice. The staff is helpful and friendly. We traveled at the end of October, and since the air conditioning system was already turned off for the season, our room was very warm. However, the staff kindly upgraded us to a different room to address this issue.
