Wake up, hit the beach and then come home to Calapso Cottage to fire up the BBQ and have a cold drink out on the sundeck!

When you need a bright, relaxing and warm holiday home for this beachy adventure, look no further than Calapso Cottage. This recently renovated home has all the essentials including, air conditioning or heat pump to set the ideal temperature and a TV equipped with Chromecast, WiFi and DVD player for chill nights on the couch!

Spend your days down by the water, toes in the sand and sunblock on your nose less than 500m from your door. Leave the car at home. First thing in the morning, brew a good cup of coffee on the coffee machine and cook up a storm in the kitchen to make sure everyone is energised for the day ahead.

Before you head down to the beach, stop by Old Beach Bakery, just a 4-minute walk, and pick up some treats to enjoy down on the beach for lunch. And if you don't feel like cooking, pop down to the Waimea Restaurant for dinner by the beach.

The Perfect Getaway!
Really loved our stay at this property! The location was brilliant in that it was only a 10 minute walk to the beach and had the most amazing bakery just around the corner. The house was fully stocked with everything you needed and very comfy beds too. We will return!

* Great outdoor spaces for entertaining including a huge lawn for outdoor cricket or soccer. The rooms were spacious, with lovely bedding. The kitchen had everything you needed. Great selection of board games. * I loved the Christian sayings and cross in the house that made it special. The only downside was the blinds in the cottage weren’t full length so only went ¾ of the way down and did not cover the ranch sliders cross ways but other than that it was lovely!!

Quiet family time away
Great property well located and would be amazing in the summer with the large grass area out the back. Unfortunately we where here in the winter as a polar blast came through. Still the heating coped, but meant 5 adults and a one year old were stuck inside. Only word of caution - the house has amazing collection of different things - ok for older children but very tempting for a 1 year old that was keen to explore.

Hidden gem in Waikanae
A comfortable beach house. Easy walk to the beach and local shops and cafes. Lovely big outdoor deck to relax on and tons of outdoor space. The pod which provided an extra bedroom and bathroom was a great addition.
