I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Melrose many times over the past few years. The hotel and its staff are only getting better and better. Everyone is smiling and aiming to please. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. The location is very good, right between Georgetown and GU. It’s easy to access everything and the metro is very close. I will continue to return, thank you to the wonderful staff!

very accessible to metro, nice neighborhood, convenient catholic church next door, there was a billing discrepancy but hotel took care of it. when you stay inside the loop, the nightly retails at all DC hotels are high (inclusive of melrose) but you do save some at melrose. place is recommended

Did a staycation for my birthday. It’s a good hotel, but it is NOT 4-star. The lobby and entry area is beautiful decorated and updated, but the elevator and rooms are dated. The bed was not very comfortable and there were obvious aesthetic issues, like cracks, paint chipping, etc.

Overall we enjoyed the stay. The only thing that we were upset about eas that the room eas freezing. When we asked about it we were told the hotel was on a two pipe system and the heat would come on in evening. It never did. When we checked out we mentioned it and were told we had to ask for a heater. Very upset as we were very cold in the room.

Great location, beautiful room, fairly good price (nice DC hotels still seem quite expensive, but compared to a lot of other hotels in the area, yours was pretty reasonably priced). All in all, it was a great find, and I'm sure I'll be returning the next time I stay in DC.

Very disappointed with the room- noisy fan, poor quality pillows. Did not sleep well at all. Shower was dirty, water didn’t get hot. Bathrobe had lipstick on the collar! Asked for 30min extra for check out as we had an appointment and lady at reception desk was very rude. Didn’t allow us to extend by half an hour and was unapologetic! Will not return !

Great location and charm. Needs an update for sure. My one criticism… no bottled water available and no water available in the lobby at any time. Hotel should have complimentary water all day. Overpriced water in the room.

We keep coming back here. Their staff is attentive to detail and make us feel welcome. The morning coffee and fresh drinking water in the lobby are very welcome treats. The gym is excellent. I would love to see them adding a light breakfast option at an affordable price as well.
