This stay was our second time at this hotel. It was ruined from the start. Upon arrival we were charged twice for our room (accident by a clearly newer staff member, no worries, things happen) which was deducted and never acknowledged by the staff in the morning. When we got into our room at 11:30pm, it had a dank and moldy smell. My son instantly had a sneezing/allergy fit and reaction. Due to the lack of knowledge on the person that checked in, we didn’t want to confront him because we were unsure he would actually be able to help. In addition, our 5&2 year old children were extremely tired after long hours of travel and due to the late hour of our arrival. Our tub’s water was pooling to the point of it almost being a bath, which we mentioned to the front desk and were told it would be fixed, it never was. It’s pretty disappointing that after the front desk was made aware of this, they told us they couldn’t credit or refund anything due to it being booked through “Expedia, a third party”? Expedia is a client of theirs that clearly helps with the promotion of their hotel, in addition to the fact that it was indeed the hotel and not Expedia that cause the issue. The air quality alone should have been a cause for concern but clearly, we were not valued as paying clients. It’ll remain to be seen as to if we are refunded for the double charge. I would think an almost allergy/asthma attack and poor water conditions would be enough to take action. Disappointing experience
