It was ok
Room 208 did not have working air conditioning and the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The springs in the mattress can be felt. During breakfast time, the meat items are kept next to the non meats and this makes other foods smell meaty not ideal for the vegetarians

Family Weekend
We stayed here for a trip to London as well Harry Potter (2 adults and a 7 year old), this hotel was between the two which is why we chose it. The hotel proximity was close to the train station to catch a train into London which took about 10/15 mins, as well as the bus to Harry Potter studios (which was also free and a nice bonus). The hotel was perfect, whilst it didnt look anything special from the outside, the inside was clean, modern and comfortable. Just what we needed as somewhere just to sleep. We stayed for 2 nights, breakfast was great. It was small but had everything you'd want and tasty too. The second night we had a light meal on the evening. The food was excellent value for money, particularly considering the proximity to London, and really tasty with lots of it, not at all what we expected for the reasonable prices. Drinks at the bar are also extremely reasonably priced too. The car park is small, and we couldnt book a space prior to going, but we booked a space at the train station which was a £14 weekend rate and within a small walking distance from the hotel. We would 100% stay there again should we visit London.

Best Customer Service Ever!! The staff was incredible, front desk, kitchen staff, chef and everyone in the place went above and beyond. This team set the bar for excellence!!

A delightful stay
The bathroom was bright and stylish. Extra towels were provided fir our stay and trash bins were emptied. The temperature was plesant and our room was well lighted. The breakfast was wonderful and offered a great variety.

Mid 3* hotel in Watford
The hotel is next to Watford Junction rail station which is great for the city. There is limited Parking at the back of the hotel for £7 per night which is comparable with the Rail station parking. This is a standard budget Holiday inn Express. We paid £158 for two nights, It provides the basic needs in a modern hotel, but with limited extras. The room was on the 5th floor with two working lifts. Room was spacious with the desk and sofa, good Wifi and modern bathroom. Minor quibbles were the shower water pressue was weak, and the Aircon quite noisy. Breakfast is included and adequate but you have fight your way through 30 other people wanting access to the buffet. I would stay here again for its convenience to London.

My wife and I had an awful night of deprived sleep as the sofa bed was so uncomfortable. Furthermore the air conditioning unit was really noisy, even on the lowest setting.

You are booking here probably because you need to attend a ceremony nearby, so perfectly fine for a short stay. It has a certain kind of familiarity to it. No air-con but we were here in November so not a problem at all. 30 or so spots of parking, no lift to 2nd floor, no complaints.
