This was a terrible experience and a scam! We had a confirmed booking 6 months in advance, but the host never sent access details. The host claimed he never received payment and wanted me to send him another payment to his account, or a receipt showing payment to his account. Well, that is not how it's supposed to work. Orbitz/Vrbo charged me for it 6 months in advance and they should send the payment to the host. We were forced to make a last minute booking elsewhere, which cost more than double the normal rates. Vrbo claimed and supposedly tried to help, but there is no way to tell who is truthful and who is not. This is a scam! Be careful with bookings through online providers in Sri Lanka!!
