Don’t let first impressions fool you, this place is a gem hiding across from a rail yard. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the neighborhood looks a little shoddy. But, it’s walking distance from a fine downtown, and the railyard proved to be very quiet. The house itself was charming. All floors were recently redone with wood-look vinyl plank flooring throughout, except for the kitchen, which had slate tile. Kitchen was nice and modern, and quite large. The four bedrooms were well appointed, and the beds quite comfortable. There was also a sleeper sofa in a downstairs office, something which was not listed in the description. We liked the place so much, we recommended it to our mother who has family from overseas coming to visit soon. It would be ideal for them. Each room has a remote controlled heat and AC unit, all very modern and quiet. Bathrooms were adequate; full bath with tub and shower upstairs, and another full bath in the laundry room off the kitchen. Shower stall downstairs seemed small at first glance, but proved to be plenty roomy once you step inside. I highly recommend this property, and expect to stay again in the not too distant future.
