Quaint, cozy and primitive.
Mountainous location with basic needs for the kitchenette, woodburning stove for heat in the family room and comfortable beds. This host was great! She had the cabin all ready and offered help with maintaining the woodburning stove and recommendation for the area. We went to the area to pick up a tree at Mehaffey Tree Far where we not only got a beautiful tree but met the owners who were very nice and posed for a picture with our Newfoundland dog. And, do not miss Johnny's Pancake House in Maggie Valley. Stay was too short!

The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in
The cabin was exactly as it was advertised. Denise and Larry were amazing and there to help if we needed anything. My best friend and I went and had a wonderful stay and the hot tub was an added bonus. We visited just after a hurricane hit the area and even then we were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to visit the area!

Nice place.
The cabin had a bit of weird smell, our company had the room and said it was very strong in there. The listing boasts a nice view but there wasn’t a view at all. The hot tub is on the upper level in front of the host house which is kind of awkward. When we went to shower there were no wash cloths provided. Hostess was very friendly and very accommodating. Next time I book a VRBO I will read more closely, I didn’t pay attention that it was a shared cabin, with the tenants who own staying above us. Overall, it was a nice place, just not a place I would stay again.

Beautiful place in the woods
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was quiet and peaceful. We could occasionally hear the owners in the floor above us quietly walking about, but it was not bothersome. It was kind of nice to know someone was alway there just in case the unexpected happened. It was very clean and close enough to Lake Junaluska, where we walked our dog each day. You can cook there if you like, but the kitchen consists of a double hot plate, microwave, Kurieg, and small refrigerator. Not a lot of utensils or other kitchen necessities. We mostly went out to eat anyway.

Lovely spot
I came up the mountains with my husband and our dog in order to attend a conference at Lake Junaluska. After a day of business and crowds, this was the perfect quiet retreat. Our hosts went above and beyond to be helpful, including giving us advice on detours due to some construction on I-40.

Beautiful Shared Building
Great place! We had a wonderful time for my husband and I’s weekend getaway. We were a little surprised to find the property to be the lower level of someone’s home, which is not listed in the description. You can hear people walking around on the upper level during the day, at night, and very early in the morning. Otherwise, the amenities were great and the host, Denise, was very kind and helpful. We played games, used the hot tub, watched movies, made food, etc. The location was great. We talked about visiting back in the fall/winter, totally recommend for a non-secluded getaway!

Very good but not great
The hot tub was great but it was awkwardly located, there is limited kitchen utensils so if your planning to cook think grill. We found the bed a little soft for us. The owner was very considerate and even brought us a cake to celebrate our anniversary.

Excellent quiet getaway to relax; very kind host
This is a wonderful choice. Close enough to I 40 but secluded. Even though we arrived late due to work, Denise came out to say hello and give us a quick tour. It was just cool enough that after a quick hot tub soak, we used the wood stove to get cozy. We would go again and it was perfect for the 1 night reprieve that we planned.
