We had a great time at Calm sea guest house, Mel and Trish were very welcoming, showed us where to park (for free with guest house pass), pointed out the local eateries, we tried Bennett’s fish and chips by the harbour, also Chilli’s Indian restaurant and Gurkha Chinese buffet, all of which we would recommend, very nice breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, and a very well stocked ‘mini’ shop with honesty box. Some beautiful places to visit either by train or bus (some open topped) and bus stop 2 mins walk away. All in all a vey enjoyable stay and would highly recommend, families most welcome too!

Great communication, very hospitable and helpful offering local places to visit and eat at. Perfect location, clean and fresh hotel with all your requirements and more covered . Excellent choice of breakfast and the English breakfast was great. Honesty box to pay for snacks and drinks in the hallway available for all to use. The owners were friendly and ensured that we had the best service during our stay.

Trish & Mel were very welcoming and couldn’t have done anymore for us. We stayed in the deluxe double bedroom & it was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed & pillows. The en-suite shower room was clean & the shower worked really well. The breakfast was really good, as much tea / coffee as you like and a really tasty cooked breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay, we’ll definitely be back.

What an absolute gem of a find! Mel and Trish couldn’t have been more friendly on booking in and were super helpful on parking options. Rooms were comfortable and clean and breakfast was excellent! Would highly recommend.

The Perfect Hosts
Mel and Trish were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble! Very attentive, everything was explained i.e. best pubs, restaurants, take-aways, where to park etc. Breakfast cooked to order and included fresh fruit and cereals if required, all pre ordered the night before to ensure it was ready in the morning, sets you up for the day. We would highly recommend a stay here, we had 2 nights and we will go back. Added bonus it's only a 3 minute walk from the beach!

The property makes for a great stay being minutes away from the beach but on a peaceful street to ensure a quiet nights sleep but what really makes it stand out are the owner's Mel and Trish who couldn't have been any more friendly and helpful. As well as providing local knowledge they even assisted with helping us to find parking and carrying luggage. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The personal touches they added such as leaving a little bag of sweets or what my son called treasure for him to find at the top of his bunk bed made him love his stay from the moment we got there. Thank you both for being wonderful hosts we hope to come back

Mel and Trish are fantastic hosts who offer an exceptional welcome. They are friendly and happy to help...even Trish carried a case up to our room! They have provided a safe, clean home for your stay. The room has little touches like games for children, a fan to keep the room cool and biscuits with your tea. The breakfast offer was perfect. Options available for vegetarians too. Not sure if Mel or Trish cooked the breakfast but whoever it was, they cooked it perfectly. Was tasty and good options to chose from. They also offer an honesty snack fridge.....was great to grab a cold drink and a chocolate bar in the night without leaving the premises!! Thanks Mel and Trish for being lovely hostsand making our stay in Weymouth brilliant!

The Friendliest B&B we have ever come across!
We came to stay for two nights for a wedding. I can honestly say I have never been the recipient of such wonderfully friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable and the hosts couldnt do enough to help us out with the local area. The only small thing was that the room was a bit warm, had to open the window which left us woken by the seaguls. Id still give the stay 10/10 Would stay again with no hesitation!

100% recommendation!
My stay at Calm Sea was excellent. It is a charming guest house with everything you need. The proprietors are really lovely folks who go above and beyond to make your stay one to remember. My bed was comfortable, the room and ensuite were immaculately clean and well equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits. Even a mini fridge 🙂 Breakfast was tasty and with vegetarian options. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Wonder full stay
Only stayed a couple of nights but service was very good met at the station by Mel the owner who has a very happy way about him sorted out free parking for our friends who also stayed with us good value for the money with the very good breakfast as well would certainly stay again
