We stayed in one of the houses. It was great value compared to an air bnb in a similar location, the entrance was safe and not on a main road and allowed 2 families with 4 children to stay. Only criticism would be no heat pumps but there were adequate heaters and extra bedding. Great location close to city centre. Would stay again

Bathroom and shower tiles were so slippery I had a really nasty fall, when I suggested non slip I was just told "thank you for your feedback" There should have been an incident form filled out for my injury. Advertised equipment was missing, when i told them I was just told "oh well it should be" People partying behind my unit until 1 am.

We stayed for one night. The self-contained accommodation is clean and has everything you need - including a good air conditioning unit and smart T.V. The buildings are old but have been renovated, and we appreciated the updated bathroom. The hotel I usually book for my family was not available due to a festival in Whangarei this weekend. We chose the Cheviot specifically for the swimming pool and were disappointed. The pool is small (the advertisement makes it look bigger) and it was closed the whole morning before check out at 10am.
