Ok for one night,but don't get cooked breakfast!
Accomodation was ok but the building was cold as if heating was turned off to save a few pennies! The cooked breakfast was awful,cold and uninspiring,I left a few things and my friend left nearly all of theirs! Would stay there again but just don't have the cooked breakfast! The staff were helpful and friendly.

There appeared to be a problem with lack of staff in the restaurant with only 3 people on duty on a saturday night. Also some choices of food and drinks not available. The people that were there were working exceedingly hard.

The rooms, bar and food were all good. However when we arrived to check in, it was clear that the staff who should have been on reception, were not in place and it had been left to the other staff (who did the best they could) to check us in,as a number of staff had quit their jobs,

After driving for 4 hours we arrived here . We went into the pub to check in and was told to go over to reception desk.We stood there for about 10 mins with staff just walking by us. In the end I asked a member of staff if somebody was on the desk , he was very rude and said “can’t you see we are busy.” We wouldn’t have minded if someone had just said we would be dealt with soon but staff were just walking by us . Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and and certain members of staff were very nice .

Property was experiencing technical difficulties so restaurant's menu was severly impacted, only limited cooked food available! Bar ran out of Pinot Grigio and New Zealand Savignon not available. Staff attempting to do their best in circumstances!

An enjoyable stay in a well located hotel
The hotel is well located and is in good condition and generally comfortable, however the double bed in our room was not comfortable as the mattress was very soft and my wife and I both had back ache the following morning and we didn’t sleep well. The second night my wife had to sleep in our son’s single bed as the mattress was firmer! My son had to sleep in the double with me! The bathroom and bedroom were clean and tidy and good sized. We had evening meals both nights of our stay, which were good and good value for money. We also had breakfast both mornings and enjoyed these and thought the price reasonable. Overall, a very enjoyable and pleasant stay, but please buy some firmer mattress for the double beds!

Spent 4 nights in a family room, room was absolutely fine, no issues for us. Had two single beds as well as the double which was fantastic. Everything was clean enough and well presented. All the staff i dealt with were nice and pleasant, the pub is very nice inside and out, all food options are decent if or when needed. The location is a little out the way but only about 1.5 miles so easy to walk plus on a main route so plenty of public transoprt options. Theres also a sainsbury very close with petrol station so very convenient. Only downside is the local waste site and gas company across the road which do smell, its not horrific though and didn't affect our room or the pub, just carpark area. This is of course nothing to do with the venue itself so just unfortunate. I wouldn't let it stop me returning though. Would recommend to anyone who just want a basic hotel room to use as a base with all the extras you would want as and when needed.

Lovely stay. Could not find faults. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well worth the money. Perfectly clean. Large car park. No complaints from us. Will certainly stay there again.

Have stayed here a few times and always a pleasure. Rooms are nice and quite spacious. Clean and comfortable beds. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. A nice bath and shower. Just a minute walk from restaurant and pub which has a large selection of meals. All of good quality. Will stay again on a trip to Whitby definitely.
