We didn’t actually see anybody on arrival or during our stay, our key was in the door when we arrived. The room was clean and cosy. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough coffee for the cafetière, or loose leaf tea although there were containers for both. We also ran out of milk on the first day it wasn’t replenished while we were out for the day and didn’t realise until the evening, thankfully a local cafe was open and helped us out. The room wasn’t serviced during our stay, this could just be a misunderstanding on our part as to the type of accommodation we had booked (I was thinking hotel). We did have a lovely stay however and it would not put us off coming again (just with more of our own tea/coffee/toiletries.

This was a lovely little hideaway right in the middle of town but tucked away and quiet. Very comfortable and clean room with a balcony over the beautiful courtyard, and delicious food just next door. Perfect spot to relax and unwind, and see all the sights of Whitby.
Amazing place to stay, would recommend it to everyone, warm, clean and everything you need for a short break, minutes from the Main Street and all the amenities it also has a beautiful garden to relax in with a glass of wine. Can’t wait to go back again.
What a lovely place to stay, a proper little oasis! Cosy room, rain shower and quality toiletries. Ignore hotels.com comment that states towels and bedding not included, they definitely are.
The room, whilst small, was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The garden was also quiet and really nice to sit in at the end of the day. The only problem was the walls were very thin and you could hear everything from the upstairs room which made it hard to sleep with noisy guests.
Cute little place off the quaint pedestrian streets. It is very very small ( you could only get to one side of the smallish double bed ) and sits off a little courtyard so not a conventional hotel. The area is great, it's close to the steps up to the abbey. The quality of the decor and furnishings was very good.
No breakfast but a kettle and fresh coffee is provided and an excellent " hipster type" bakery about 50 yds away on the street.
