I love staying here and always come however after the closure of the hotel. I've returned and I feel the whole experience has became less superior. Staff and service fabulous as always. However breakfast was extremely disappointing. Half the breakfast items for a full English weren't available, no porridge etc. The bedroom itself very comfortable and a good night sleep. Also the spa facilities aren't currently available and is a huge miss. However I would stay here again but I would love to see the breakfast become much nicer as it was prior.

I stayed 2 nights, the first night there was work of some kind happening till midnight. The second night was terrible, I didn’t sleep at all because someone was removing items in a golf cart with a trailer attached. I will not stay again I feel a refund is in order Regards Paul Ellwood

The hotel was in a dire state. Ridiculously short staffed. The staff who were there were, however, very pleasant and professional, just hardly any. they'd shut the pool, gym and restaurant, This wasn't apart on other booking sites, they said it was on the hotel website. The only way I can describe this, once lovely hotel, is SAD

Disappointed with where i was put. I thought i was being allocated a ground floor room in the hotel as i had a very small dog. However, i placed in an a building attached by a walk way to the hotel and was put on the top floor. The hotel boasts is spent a significant amount of money on the hotel in refurbishments, but this section of the hotel hasnt been touched. There was a water station on the top floor that was broken, the one on the ground floor didnt work either. There was no information sheet in the room but there was a not to say if you want fresh milk call room service, there was no phone in the room! When i got there after being stuck in traffice for hours on end, i asked about food, there was no food as restaurant was closed. The hotel grounds are stunning. The building stayed in felt like you were shoved out of the way.

The staff at this property were outstanding - every single one of them from the minute we walked through the door - advising us on where we could get our sons laundry done(he was in the middle of a lands end to John o groats bike ride) they even set up the gardeners hose for him to clean his bike. The whole experience was amazing - we ended up booking our son another night so he could recover before the rest of his journey. Thanks to everyone!!!
