The overwhelming smell of the cleaning solution used made it almost unbearable to stay even after airing out the place. The room was clean except for the couch which was so old and dirty that we put down towels before sitting down. The staff were very friendly.

Good location for those who want to travel to the Wildwood Boardwalk, and close enough to Cape May. I had a few recommendations, which I told the front desk about. They use a very strong sweet, obnoxious smelling deodorizer or cleanser that those of us with allergies or asthma find irritating. And, they could use some safety strips in the showers, and she said they are working on that. Very nice heated pool, and outside bar-b-que area, little mini-golf, arcade room, and corn hole all available.

We always stay at the Shalimar. Rooms are updated and very clean. The beach is wonderful in the Crest. The Shalimar is walkable to the boardwalk yet far enough away that it is quiet and relaxing. Great parking too, you do not have to worry that your car will get dinged.

Great stay. Lots of families but everyone was cool. Beach is right there. You can see the beach from every balcony. Good prices too!!

Would have been a better rating but we mentionned twice that our daugther that was sleeping on the sofa got bitten multiple time. The cleanness of the sofa bed was also hawfull, the sheet were stained. Cleaning staff was also not friendly and very rude so we stopped asking for it. End result we had to leave our clothes and luggages outside and wash it very hot. Staff said twice dont worry the manager will call you and obviously no calls. Very disapointed in terms of experience.

Had an issue with a credit card account that I closed and my deposit was paid with that card so it could not be presented at check in. They made a big deal but they were paid 6 months before check in and we had the emails. I understand protocol but I had proof of payment. This put a bad taste in my mouth. People were playing corn hole outside my door way past 10pm and it was pretty annoying and nobody said anything about it. Pool area should randomly be cleaned because people can be pigs and there was food and trash on the ground.

When your only choice is independent hotels this is a nice place to stay. Parking spots are extremely tight and difficult to get in and out of car. Place is clean and serves it's purpose with easy access to the beach.

Excellent front desk staff! Very friendly housekeeping too! Rooms are a little dated but relatively clean. Location to beach was good. Lots of dining options to drive to, some close enough to walk. I would recommend!
