The AC didn't work, I could only get very hot water, the faucets were broken, and the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. I wouldn't stay there again. But it was clean and the staff was friendly.

For the most part it was great but there were some cleanliness issues that I reported. Such as table and chairs were not cleaned. Floor could have been vacuumed better and the wall has a section were mold was apparent.

Breakfast is in a bag, rooms where clean enough , it’s an old property. Will not be staying there again. Not worth the cost of $100 per night plus taxes.

Howard Johnson at Williamsburg.
It is about 15 mins away from Williamsburg activities, close to the highway. Not in a fancy area but safe. There are small restaurants, grocery store and several inexpensive gas stations near by. The hotel is quiet. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast we got was not a hot breakfast but bagged with a microwaveable egg sandwich. It was packed full with a brownie, juice, breakfast bar, goldfish crackers. All easy to pack snacks for a long day at the parks. Staff was nice. We have stayed here before because it is reasonably priced. Since we stayed, they renovated. Great place for the price. Also offer indoor pool and a small fitness center.
