Only stayed one night prior to flying but would certainly recommend this hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and when we visited the restaurant for a quick supper we found a very friendly and efficient young man who made sure we enjoyed our meal Breakfast was pretty good. Freshly cooked English breakfast served by a brilliant young lady who was a little upset that the place was unusually quiet. Free car parking and a great rate for a place so close to the airport. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Yes admittedly a little dated however with a great beer garden, rooms with everything you need and did I forget to mention really really comfy beds. Don’t pay to stay at the swanky spots at the airport. Come here instead. Great VFM , great staff

As expected a very noisy airport hotel. The bedding was flimsy and the sheets smelt of fried food. The bathroom had black mould around the bath and is elevated so you had to step quite highly to get into it. Rubbish nights sleep!

Amazing stay.
The entire stay was amazing. From check-in, the lady on reception was very welcoming and chatty, nothing to much trouble for her, to the bar staff the restaurant we didn't use on this occasion. The room was comfy spacious and clean. The bathroom was adapted (which we requested) so was quite large but very clean. Also good shower!!. Check out was efficient and we were wished a good onward journey.will definitely stay again.

Just 5 mins drive from Manchester airport, this Best Western Plus offers a good alternative to the hotels within the airport grounds

The management strategy at this hotel is at best, questionable. Booked a room to rest after a day of travelling with a view to having an early start to collect visitors the following day for a full on day of travelling and meetings. Checked in at around 6.30 to be informed that my room was directly above the function room where there was a wedding disco taking place & that no other rooms were available so there was no possibility to change. I was offered a free drink & an apology by very apologetic staff with the assurance that it would finish at midnight. Looking at other reviews, it now seems that this is a common occurrence, this was also confirmed by the duty staff who were helpless to do anything. Completely unfair to staff who are made to deal with this and customers who have to pay. If a good night sleep is important to you then I’d think stop & think before booking here, a complete waste of £150.

We needed an overnight stay for an early start (4am) to the airport the next day. We stayed on a Saturday and when we arrived there was a wedding reception ongoing. On check in the lady on reception acknowledged our need for an early night and found a quiet room for us away from the wedding party. Room was clean and quiet. The Bulls Head pub (10-15 minute walk) is ok for food and the hotel is a 10 minute drive to the airport. All in all a goog start for the holiday.

Old, noisy disturbing hesting system in room
The hotel central heating system is an old antique style system. The sound from the heater when on was like a pneumatic drill. When I reported it the person who came to the room said ‘well it’s a very old system’ It kept us awake all night which I was annoyed about as the only reason I’d booked this hotel was due to its proximity to Manchester airport as we had a 6 am flight. The extractor fan in the bathroom was also very noisy and didn’t switch itself off all night as well. Overall extremely disappointed stay resulting in no sleep.
