Valley View offers 5 comfortable bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and plenty of square footage for you to relax and enjoy your time in the Hill Country with friends and family. Outside, you'll find a large, shaded deck, a yard for the kids to play, and your own private swimming pool (**the small spillover pool does not act as a heated spa but is rather an extension of the unheated pool), a new standalone hot tub and complete with one of the best hillside views in the area. This home is new to the rental market, so more details and photos will be added soon!

Family vacay 2024

Views are spectacular! The pool is beautiful. Kids were never bored! The city of Wimberly is a very nice! We all had an amazing time. Loved the house!

the positives: the house is large and we had ample room for everyone. The view is amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the large deck with a generous breeze. The proximity to Wimberly and New Braunfels was perfect. The home was clean and tidy. We also enjoyed the pool table. Everyone enjoyed the pool. Management was very prompt in respons to my fridge issue Negatives are that the home needs some work. I believe the photos are somewhat misleading. The home is more dated than described or pictured. There is a bug issue. We killed three scorpions and two large red wasps in two days. We picked up quite a few dead bugs which I feel should have been cleaned up by the maid service as they were long dead and dried out and so had been there for a while. The makeshift kitchen island has a drawer that won’t stay closed and we hit our shins on the metal drawer at least twice. The decking is quite old and the wood and paint is peeling up badly. I made my children wear shoes because I really thought they might get a large splinter. The decking in the photos looks pristine. The grounds are not as well kept as the photos show. I felt it was overgrown and maybe that was contributing to the insect issue. The table on the deck is missing a screw and was extremely wobbly. The house has a musty smell and that was a turn off. The water and ice also smelled and we had to buy ice to use in our drinks bc the house ice made your beverage taste funny as it melted. No more room to finish!

Hill country comfort with beautiful views

The home was lovely and spacious with a large covered back porch. The views were stunning. It was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was small but the living and dining areas were large. The master suite was huge. Some of the floors were brick which was different and not good to walk barefoot on. The pool was large with a covered sitting area. There were several steps to walk down to the pool which I recommend putting handrails for safety. The pool table was a bonus which several in our group enjoyed. Overall it’s a lovely house with amazing views. The kitchen needs some updating but there was a lot of cabinet space.

If It Weren’t For The View…

…my rating would have been lower. The house is cool (I like mid century) but very outdated, dingy, and not kept up. The shelves in the fridge were broken. The kitchen island is a toolbox, and because the floor is brick/uneven, the drawers kept opening (shin check) so we taped them. The kitchen trash can pedal is weird so have fun trying to open it. Only two tide pods were left for 10 people over 3 days/nights. I requested late checkout and was told to wait until after check in to request it, so I did, then it was denied. The maids showed up right at 10am then I received a message that we needed to vacate the premises immediately or we would be charged the cleaning fee (again); they had no reasoning for denying it in the first place. There is clearly a hot tub next to the pool so I asked how to operate it, since there are no pool instructions, and they told me there is no hot tub listed on the guest amenities so it’s not for guests. Then I received a separate text message that there is no hot tub, it’s a small pool for the spillway (waterfall/sheer decent). Thats ridiculous, contradicting, and probably another maintenance issue. The fans in all the rooms are tiny and need to be turned up all the way because the whole guest side of the house is hot, so they make a lot of noise and shake. The pool sticks are all broken or need repair. The deck (both of them) clearly need to be repaired or replaced. It’s mediocre at best but the view is nice. It should definitely be cheaper.

Great place, great views, friendly & responsive hosts

Our large family recently thoroughly enjoyed staying at Valley View Hill Country Home in Wimberley to be close to a family wedding. The lovely spacious home had many rooms, large kitchen, several full bathrooms, and a beautiful pool with nice deck looking out over the valley. The views were just amazing!! We enjoyed sunrise coffee and sunset dinners on the porch with practically all the amenities we would have had at home! Vacay host was super responsive and real Texas friendly in all our communications. We will definitely consider staying here again! Did we mention the view? Wow!

Beautiful Serean View

We booked the property due to view and pool. Both lived up to the expectations. Neat little town nearby with grocery stores , etc. Very different feel in Texas. View is more beautiful than pictures. Read the reviews that hot tub was not working. No big deal, but would have loved if it was working. Other than that, it was lovely stay.

beautiful view

A nice one story house in the country with plenty of bedrooms for a family reunion. The view from the deck of the hills and the pool is beautiful. We also watched hummingbirds at the feeder . The front door wasn't secure but they promised to fix it. After 2 visits we've never quite figured out the stove.

Great place, but needs updates

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the pool, and loved the view and the night-time breeze. The only caution I would raise for future renters is that it is an old house that needs paint and some work. What we were most disappointed in was the cleanliness. The owners definitely need to hire a new cleaning crew. We had to reclean ourselves in several areas!

The property is great surrounded by a great scenery and stunning views! We could not use the pool due it being not heated. Jacuzzi was not operable. Furniture was rundown, fridge destroyed our foods since it was not calibrated and was colder than normal. Dust and dead insects were found under the beds and living room furniture. We could not locate a vacuum. There’s a pest issue in the house including ants and spiders… With little bit of TLC, this wonderful property could go back to its formal glory.

Perfect get away

We spent thanksgiving week here, and it was just what we needed. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with utensils and all of the appliances worked as they should. The living area is large enough for adult conversations and kids playing at the same time. The rooms are well equipped with comfortable mattresses and bedding. The bathrooms had towels and wash cloths which was nice because I forgot to pack wash cloths. The morning views of the sun rise will make you want to be up early, with a cup of coffee on the porch. For the reviews you read stating its outdated, or lacking care. Its an older home, there are paint chips, and SMALL wall dings in sheet rock. After about thirty minutes, you will not notice them, and for all of the positives it really isn't worth mentioning. The property managers at Sky Run were fantastic in communicating, and I truly mean fantastic. I emailed about a concern and had a reply and information within 20 minutes. Dont hesitate to stay here, you will enjoy it.

Great house for large groul

We had a wonderful time at this house! We were 3 families meeting up in Austin to go to Formula 1 race and this house was the perfect size. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and pool table! Would definitely stay again in the future!

Disappointed in Condition of House

While the views from the house are extraordinary, the house is anything but extraordinary. Some of the other reviewers describe it as needing updates, I describe it as being rundown. The yard is unkept, the interior of the house desperately needs painting, there is mildew in the bathroom caulk, there were dead bugs in the window sills, and there was an ant problem in the kitchen. The kitchen overall is just bad. There are minimal kitchen supplies, the sink and the bar lights didn’t work, and the kitchen faucet wouldn’t stay on unless you pushed the faucet handle to full power. The pictures posted online, don’t truly reflect the condition of the house.

Beautiful Location

This location was absolutely stunning and perfect for the girls trip. There was plenty of room and it was spacious enough for all the girls to have their own private area. It was also very separated from the common areas so it was quiet enough for sleeping at night. The pool was absolutely beautiful and check in was also very easy. The only thing was having an issue with the hot water for both nights, and check in morning. I will say, I messaged them pretty late at night about it, and I received and immediate response with a trouble shoot, and after that did not work, they scheduled maintenance to come the next morning. Would HIGHLY recommend this location for the views, and the ease of booking and communication. Thank you so much!!!

Girls Reunion Trip

Had a group of 12 long time friends celebrating our 60th birthdays and it was a perfect place for all us! Private but close enough to Wimberley for shopping, and wine tours. Skyrun runs a top notch service! Only suggestion is to make sure the outside grill gets cleaned as we had to do so before using. Planning to reserve again in the future! Thank you!

A Beautiful View and Pool

We loved the view of the pool and then the hills. Spent lots of time on the deck. Kitchen is well stocked. The upkeep on the house and grounds was a little lacking but not a problem. Sky Run was very responsive to our needs.
