Good room and facilities. Bar service was poor - this was at a weekend. There wss usually only one barkeeper, who was obliged to serve at tables and lounge areas, leaving the bar unattended. The hotel's system did not permit the bar keeper to stay in the bar; guests could easily have ordered from the bar and carried their own drinks.

Whilst very convenient for the town centre , our room was disappointing small and cramped , with very little natural light making it feel very gloomy . Breakfast staff were very helpful , the breakfast itself was fine .

The hotel is a modern hotel in a good location beside lots of restaurants. Staff are very friendly. Hotel has a small car park and costs £15 a day to park but spaces are very limited. There are other parking options nearby. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Woken at 6:30am on a Thursday from bin lorries emptying bins at neighbouring student accommodation. Overall it was ok.

Amazing stay in York
The staff were amazing and certainly added to the stay. Breakfast was great too. I would recommend the hotel consider a thicker mattress topper as that certainly would have helped as you can feel the gap between the beds and the mattress is a very hard one, not used to that and the pillows were very lumpy and not too comfortable either. But apart from that the hotel was lovely. Fantastic location. The staff are the star of the hotel for sure

Loved this hotel, had an ‘inside, with window’ room very quiet. Breakfast cooked to order so no problems. Easy to walk into York. A good choice of eating places nearby.
