The Space

Please read the entire description before booking.

Our cozy and comfortable house is surrounded by privacy fence with an enormous backyard that you can enjoy. We do require a two-night minimum stay. This is a perfect place for hosting a getaway weekend for a group of friends, couples, family or anyone who wants to sit back and relax.

At our home, you will find two bedrooms with Queen size beds, one bathroom, a living room, ready to use kitchen and dining room. In the master bedroom, you can see the famous Joshua Trees trees outside through the windows. You will also find doors next to the kitchen leading to a back patio and spacious backyard. The living room has a 46-inch TV with Google Chromecast available so you can play your favorite Netflix movies and shows as well as enjoy your music on Spotify. The living room has a pull out sofa bed and coffee table. The kitchen contains all needed equipment and utensils at your fingertips to prepare your meals. We also provide some basic spices for you. The dining table can fit up to four people, but we have some extra chairs in case you need them. Our home has all the privacy needed for you to have a peaceful stay since it is the last house on the street. Our home is well equipped, but if necessary, there are stores nearby for anything guests need. Please, treat the house as your own, and clean up after yourself. We provide trash cans in every room for your convenience.

When you step outside at night, you will be able to see the bright moon, and sparkling stars in the clear, dark sky while feeling the nice breeze and breathing in the fresh air. You can enjoy watching the sun rises over the mountain hills behind the house when you wake up in the morning. All your stress will be blown away.

You will be in the desert after all so don’t be surprised if you meet some critters. We clean the house after every guest and maintain its cleanliness, but occasionally, you might see some critters. Lastly, our house was built in the early 80s so it has its own special quirks of an older house.

Awesome place close the Joshua Tree
Spent the weekend at Joshua Tree and this place was awesome! Plenty of room for the 2 of us and stargazing in the back patio was fantastic.

Excellent spot close to Joshua Tree NP
Great house, easy to use and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and had two trips into Joshua Tree to catch the evening glow. Also a day trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which is a great way to avoid the heat of the valley in the middle of the day.

Charge us for something that we didn't break
The property is conveniently located for hiking and climbing in Joshua Tree. However, the communication with the host was not good. We didn't know how to turn the heater on the first night and he didn't respond to several of our messages, He then charged us for a broken window that we didn't break, only because we had left a tennis ball in the house. We had lost the key (and found it again) and offered to pay for that (If he had already replaced the lock at the time we found the key again). He didn't charge us for that! If you decide to stay at that place, make sure that you take a picture of everything before going in. It is a shame because it kind of ruined or stay there

Cozy stay
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. What I really loved is that Mr. Chang did not hover. He was very responsive to my inquiries. My family will definitely stay there again when we are in Yucca Valley.

So-so accommodations
Overall, the place was fine. Strangely, there were no wash cloths and only one hand towel in the kitchen. The shower had a pot scrubber instead. I asked the host to bring some wash cloths and towels. They said their cleaning company was closed for the holiday and they couldn’t. They also said no one had ever asked for wash cloths or hand towels before, which I thought was strange. I don’t think it’s alright for the rental property to get no service just because their other company was closed. The host was willing to refund us one night that we cut our trip short due to being unable to service the property properly, which was greatly appreciated. The host didn’t respond to my communication via the vrbo app, but did respond promptly to text. Took us awhile to figure out how to turn on the heat since a sign on the wall pointed us to a thermostat, which did nothing. Beds were comfortable, location was great for spending days at Joshua tree.

Nice, cozy home in a very quiet neighborhood close to Joshua Tree National Park. We enjoyed our stay; however, suggest host provide more towels for bathroom, as well as hand towels/paper towels in the kitchen since there is no dishwasher.

Good value option
Overall we were happy with the accommodations. The location is great for JTNP access and the place was well kept. There is a little “jank” that comes with the property, the front door doesn’t open the easiest and there’s a system for getting the shower to function; but on the other hand for what it is, it’s a decent value. Would stay here again.

Property was minimal in amenities, but sufficient to stay.
Negatives: There was only 1 x towel per person, old/used soaps, NO door handle on patio sliding door, bed was sinking in middle of mattress, felt unstable.. remote didn’t work. Positives: safe, had utensils, water pressure was fine, lots of windows/natural light, close to jtree. Recommendations: install door handle on sliding patio door, add towels & smaller hand towels, have better option for soaps, buy new tv remote.

This Yucca Valley home was in a perfect location. Super close to Joshua Tree state park where we spent 2 days and also to Palm Springs. The house is quite large with a big kitchen and 2 large bedrooms w/comfortable beds. There is even a cute backyard where you can see the stars at night! Chris was a super helpful host. would definitely recommend a stay here!

Great location/questionable amenities
The house was very clean. That’s the good news. She has a beautiful back porch with only 3 chairs, 2 were broken. Kitchen lacked any glassware other than shot glasses. 3 coffee mugs, 1 broken. Kitchen ‘table’ is very small and had only 3 chairs. We ate around the coffee table in the living room. We appreciated the cleanliness and the comfortable beds but not the kitchen and seating. Ambiance? Interestingly eclectic.
