Corn Crib- 38 acres- hiking, mountain biking, waterfall

The corn crib has loads of rustic charm. The corn crib was an old corn storage barn and allof the wood is salvaged from the old structure , everything fromthe unique door to the old bunk beds. Comfortably sleep 6 in beds with cozy full size mattresseson the bottom bunk and twin beds on the top bunk. The kitchen is stocked with all the supplies you will need from a two burner propane stove, cast iron pots and pans, eating and cookingutensils, tea pot,French press and percolator. Eat at the old rustic table or at your private fire pit. Enjoy the soft glow of our Edison overhead lights and read by your own bedside lantern. When you can't relax anymore, peddle right our of the cabin into our system ofmountain bike trails or hike to waterfall and cliffs.
Water- Water isprovided from the spring below the cabin. We have a bucket for collecting the water and the water is run through a water filter, ensuring clean water for drinking, cooking, etc.
Parking- While there is parking for 3-4 vehicles at the corn crib, turning around big vehicles is a challenge. It can be done, but be careful. Backing out might be the best option for larger trucks, vans and SUVs.
Firewood-is provided at the shed just below the cabin. It is available for purchase.
Access- There will be additional access instructions provided upon booking the cabin and also a book of instructions and things to do provided inside the cabin.
Bedding- We provide mattresses, but you will need to bring you own bedding. A sleeping bag and pillow is perfect to stay comfy and cozy. A rustic charming outhouse is provided about 100 yards away from the cabin.
Sleep comfortably, ride conveniently, and relax completely!

Beautiful, convenient camping location
This is a lovely compromise between primitive camping and a cabin! We enjoyed the cold mountain air and clear skies, but were happy to crawl into sleeping bags on provided bunks and sleeping pads. All the requirements are covered-water for washing up, an outhouse, propane cook top, French press, dishes. We loved our experience and will return!

A great get-away!
We wanted to take our extended family members camping but lacked adequate gear. This place offered everything we did not have plus some.

Great campsite
My wife and I, along with our mini Aussie had a wonderful time. Great location. Close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setup had everything we needed for a great stay.

Amazing find
This cabin is part of a gorgeous property called Cold Spring Base Camp, which includes a few other cabins and campsites, And hiking/biking trails and field and a little stream. A quick drive from asheville and once you get on the property everything is well marked so it’s easy to see where to go. Each of the sites is thoughtfully oriented with its own parking and privacy. Loved the string lights and ambiance. Cabin had older elements which added to the charm but the structure itself had been redone so brand new floor/decking which was nice. The whole space was a perfect blend of campy, yet tidy and clean. Was also great having full set of pots/pans/utensils provided. Outhouse was close by and immaculate. Hiking around the property was fun and good for families with younger kids. Booking now for future stays as these cabins and camping sites are sure to stay booked up once word gets out.
