Nicely within walking distance from the train station, price very interesting for Zurich and clean room/bathroom. The only thing, it said check out at 11am,so I went for a walk leaving the bags in the room, and coming back at 10:45 the code was opening the main door but not the room door. So I had a bit of panic as I had to take a train soon. But I called with 24/7 phone at the entrance, someone came upstairs and opened the room, saying two rooms use an older system, that used to check out at 10am. Note I was lucky to have a room at ground floor:there is no elevator, but I saw there is a luggage lift. This is a no thrills hotel, but for the location and the price is perfect to sleep, have a shower, and come and go by train. Overall, quite pleased with the stay.

Good Enough If Budget Is Your Priority.

Pros: Seems to be about as cheap as it's possible to find accommodation in what is a very expensive city. As others have pointed out it feels a little more like staying in a ferry cabin or static home than a hotel but it's perfectly acceptable for a short stay if you're not too fussy and want to save your money for other things (you'll need it!). I seem to remember some reviews suggesting it was an undesirable area. Obviously you should always be careful when travelling in unfamiliar places but this was the nicest "bad neighbourhood" I've ever been in and we did not feel at all unsafe there at any time of day. Strong, fast WiFi connection in the rooms. Found the staff to be polite and helpful. 11am checkout.
Cons: Having to pay 5CHF extra per-night for a kettle (though admittedly it was worth having). Small rooms. No space for luggage or places to put anything down - no bedside table or shelf. Wouldn't be suitable for sharing a room with any body you're not extremely close to. The en-suite cubicle provides visual privacy but you're still essentially in the same room.
Location: Walkable to/from train station and central Zurich. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby which look inviting (although we didn't have time).

Zimmer hat alles, was es für eine Nacht Schlaf in einem Bett braucht. Lage des Hotels sehr zentral zum Hauptbahnhof ZH. Dusche/WC gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber OK. Alles recht kompakt und klein, aber OK.
