Nice hotel
We had a wonderful 1 night stay. The receptionist was kind and had our room ready prior to check in, so we didn't have to worry about storing our luggage. Our room was clean and had plenty of space for us.

Clean, quiet & easy access to everything. Nice and helpful staff. Luggage room. Right on the river & close to all transport. Room was extremely hot in the middle of summer without air conditioning. A small fan provided minimal relief.

A satisfactory spot if your primary goal is to be near the train station or the "main strip" of the old town/tourist center of Zurich. Basic, small, no frills accommodation with threadbare towels and unclean sheets. I had a significantly better experience 5 mins further away for the same price

The hotel is a short 15 minute walk from the Zurich main train station. Excellent staff that are very helpful. Real close to lots of dining options.

I was upset that the hotel charged me so much more than the price of room at time of booking. When i booked with hotels.com the price i actually booked was approx £170 a night. The hotel charged me over £250 ( in swiss francs ) on arrival. I chose to pay the hotel directly. They knew i was a hotel.com guest however. Why the huge difference !??! I will not be booking with hotels.com again because of this.

You’ll book this hotel for its location. We stayed in a room for 4 people, no air con, just a small fan. We had to open the windows to get more air flow, meaning that the the noice was really high. Since we were tired all that didn’t matter. If all of the above works for you, this hotel es VERY convenient. You’ll have the main train station 5 mins away, restaurants, famous stores, you name it. They have complimentary coffee every day, the staff is nice and helpful, the place is clean.

Great Location but That’s All Folks
So, this place was in a great location right by the train station and had easy access to tons of restaurants/sightseeing. Sadly, that’s where the good news ends. I’m not sure how there are so many strong reviews honestly. Yes, they are upfront about no AC but that doesn’t account for a crappy desk fan that barely works. My fan didn’t oscillate and it kept clicking. The itchy bedsheets smelled like sweat and cigarettes and the bathroom smelled worse. Seriously - it smelled like swamp ass. It knocked me in the face the second I walked in. When I checked in, the front desk was on the phone. No biggie but usually I get some acknowledgment. No handwave, no finger up to signify anything - just 8 mins of me standing there. Once she hung up, she still didn’t say hi - just a “checking in?” The service was not there, the room smelled bad, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel was so loud I may have been trying to sleep outside on the street. No A/C so couldn’t close the windows. Very overpriced for a room of this caliber.
