Air cooling in room is inadequate for hot summer days. Understandable for the normal Zurich climate, but climate is changing quickly now. Although just 400m from the train station, it’s slightly uphill so expect sweat on a hot day with luggage. Few dining options until you get to the station area. Toilet paper holder unbelievably secured to wall with a single screw, so the whole thing rotates and toilet paper roll can fall off. Staff didn’t realize for days that body wash in shower had been empty since the start of stay. But otherwise, clean and convenient enough as a base. No major complaints about service.

Was convenient to all amenities, good location. Service desk was a bit low in my grade as the guy at the counter on the first 2 nights did not make an effort to find us a fan. Despite asking him when we first checked in and could not cope without a fan. We almost begged for a fan 2 nights in a row and was only met with a “sorry - no fan.” No effort made to look for one despite lots of checking out.

No tea and coffee facilities in the room, tea and coffee machine in lobby, but wasn't available until1030 in the morning. Very poor air-conditioning in the room, room was 30°c. Otherwise, comfy bed, close to train station and restaurants.

Mixed feelings about our stay. The room was clean, beds comfy, breakfast was good and worth the price, and the bar staff was nice and even gave us a free coffee. And the check in staff gave me extra pillows and a fan (the rooms are stuffy, no or minimal A/c). But the surrounding area is boring, so you are alway headed down toward the old part and lake to eat, etc. Not even a coffee shop nearby. So while the hotel is fine, it’s also not exciting. One bonus was it was quick and easy to get to the airport.

Hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the train station, staff are nice and friendly, breakfast is very nice with variety selections. But the basin was kindly of block that the water running very slowly and the staff came up and had a look then advise all the water drain system in Switzerland is old and not working properly LOL which we've been to other cities Geneva, Interlaken wasn't like that at all. Luckily the shower drain water runs normally. Overall I like the location and the breakfast is the highlight for this hotel. No kettle in room, but they provide complimentary coffee and tea service area on the check in area.

User friendly?
I understand that the government has control over the electricity usage and no air conditioning provided. However, I believe that the hotel should provide fans for customers. How can you imagine there’s no ventilation in the hotel room in summer!
