First we Will visit The Generalife, we Will walk around the palace and gardens and We will know the gravity irrigation system of the Alhambra. Today, the irrigation system has been restored and is used to maintain the beauty and greenery of the Alhambra gardens.

After visiting the Generalife, we will arrive at the Medina.The Alhambra Medina is an ancient fortified city found within the walls of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. It was built during the Nasrid era and was used as a residence for the inhabitants of the court and the nobility. By walking through the narrow streets of the Medina, visitors can experience a sense of what daily life was like in the Middle Ages. In this point we will visit as well the free admission sites : Parador, Charles the V Palace and Santa Maria de la Alhambra.

We joined the “Alhambra & Generalife Skip the Line Small Group Tour including Nasrid Palaces” on May 1st at 9:00 AM, and it exceeded all expectations! Though we regrettably forgot our guide’s name, her expertise was unforgettable. Her deep knowledge of Alhambra’s history—from the Nasrid Palaces’ intricate carvings to the Generalife gardens’ symbolism—made every step fascinating. She blended scholarly insights with engaging storytelling, revealing hidden details we’d have missed alone. To the company: Please recognize our female English-speaking guide from the May 1st 9:00 AM tour—her passion brought this UNESCO gem to life! Reserved tour based on flight arrival in Madrid. However 5 days prior, tour company moved time to 1 1/2 hours earlier. We experienced traffic and missed the tour, getting there 15 minutes prior to original tour time.

The Palace and Gardens are beautiful. It was a little confusing to find the meet up location but the staff around were very friendly and sent us on the right way.
