Overview

Starting from the city of Milan, we will go to: Sirmione the pearl of Lake Garda is one of the most beautiful towns on lake Garda. You will see the Scaligeri castle, and the medieval town centre of Sirmione: in this famous town, you will be surrounded by a multitude of tourists always present in Sirmione enjoining their day too! after visiting Sirmione, we will go to Verona the worldwide famous city of Romeo & Juliet to see Juliet’s house and the famous balcony of the last kiss of the two lovers! we will see the coliseum of Verona. We will walk through the medieval town centre, to see the castle of Verona, the old bridge, the Scaligeri graves, the house of Romeo, the arch of Gavi and much more! The road trip to reach Verona from Milan takes about two hours and the same time is needed to come back to Milan. This is a private guided tour for your group only or only for you if you are a single tourist. Please specify where your hotel is in Milan to allow us to come and pick you up.

Private tour for the price of a bus tour. I was quite late in booking a day tour to Verona and the Bus tours were all sold out. luckily I found this Private Tour. Giorgio was our driver/guide. He knows a lot about Verona and Sirmione and had a lot of stories to tell. We saw other group tours being herded to Gulieta's house then diapersed for some free time, but with Giorgio we went on a slow paced walk around the vibrant City of Verona. In Sirmione we had some good Gelato and walked around the city, down to the lake. Started at 9:30am and we were back in the City 8PM.

Loved being picked up and dropped off at our hotel, so convenient. Tour guide was great, funny and knowledgeable- enjoyed Lake Garda, had time for the kids (12 and 10) to swim in the lake which they loved and the water was beautiful and warm even at 9am! Tour guide asked if we could start earlier as it was a Sunday and swapped the itinerary around to ensure we could go all places with less people about, which worked out well for us!!

Giorgio was a phenomenal tour guide! He was extremely accommodating of our family’s needs and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. Without him, we would not have been able to find a fraction of the amazing sights he brought us to in Verona and Sirmione. We are very grateful for his time and would be eager to book another tour with Giorgio!

Fabulous day out with Giorgio. He fit so much into one day while entertaining us with the culture and history of Verona and Lake Garda and Italy overall. We were amazed at his knowledge of languages and how different local histories culminated into todays Verona and Milan. He went over and above. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out with him.

Did the tour on 11/26/23. Thought both places were a must see. The best part of the tour however was our guide Giorgio! He was informative but also very friendly. We had great conversations about Formula 1 and Ferrari on our long rides - both topics a passion for our family. We also discussed USA a lot since he was trying to become more familiar. I had an injured knee so additional walking was challenging. A huge shout out to Giorgio in making the day more convenient for me.

Where to start? The guide constantly making political statements, him constantly checking his phone which had audible notifications on (including in a cathedral where we actually had to tell him to turn it off as it became embarrassing) or his poor attempts at humour. It ruined a tour of what is obviously two beautiful towns. Have been using Viator for over 15 years and have never had a worse tour. The two stars were for the towns themselves.

We greatly enjoyed our host, Giorgio. He was very knowledgeable and able to give us a very good experience despite great heat and expected tourist crowds in August. We particularly liked Lake Garda—very picturesque.

I definitely recommend. Great tour and learned so much about Italy and WWII. Very knowledgeable!! Sirmione was beautiful and I wish we had arranged for a boat tour.
