Special Spring Equinox Tour
Witness the incredible phenomenon that made Chichen Itza so special and unique in the first place. Every year, during the Spring Equinox, Chichen Itza visitors can witness how the shadow aligns perfectly along the stairs of the Pyramid, forming a snake body and thus creating an illusion of the descending Kukulkan, the popular Mayan deity.
On this day, you will visit Valladolid first, and Chichen Itza last. After the guided tour and your free time, you will remain in the archaeological zone to admire the Equinox phenomenon that takes place close to sunset.
Premier Tour with Hotel Pick Up

Know before you book
- Children 2 and younger are complimentary.
- You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol.
- You must be able to walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.
- Adults visiting Chichen Itza must pay an admission fee of 40 USD per person for international visitors and 22 USD for Mexican citizens. A fee of 6 USD applies to children regardless of nationality. Fees are payable on the day of the activity.
- If you book an option with hotel pickup, you will receive confirmation of your exact pick-up time when you call to confirm your reservation. Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
- If you did not select an option with hotel pickup, the Cancun meeting points are the Crab House Restaurant in the Hotel Zone and Oasis Smart in city centre. In Playa del Carmen, meet at Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen. And in Tulum, the meeting point for all guests is the Super Akí supermarket.
- Pickup from Costa Mujeres hotels is only available on Mondays,Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please make sure to select one of these days if you are staying in Costa Mujeres.
- In accordance with EU regulations about consumer rights, activities services are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Supplier cancellation policy will apply.
