Good location … but !
Reception welcome was ok , room was very poor , had to change room as the entire wall of the bathroom on the bedroom side was flaking with debris on the carpet and the corner edge coming off , seems to be a water leak inside the wall . Couldn’t believe the room was even let to a guest . Shower door didn’t close , water all over the bathroom floor . Bathrooms were small . Internet intermittent in the bedrooms . On the plus side , breakfast was good , service team attentative , the lounge access was a nice touch , comp Prosecco each evening with nibbles . Hot water for tea only reached 60 degrees in the restaurant . Location is great , walking distance to everywhere

Lovely stay
Lovely stay for the Christmas markets. Was surprised the premium room had no view and a Bath not a walk in shower but that may have been my mistake when booking. There are entrances on both sides of the hotel, our taxi driver sent us to the pedestrian precinct to enter- we could have walked in from the road drop off.

Convenient location
This was the last stop from European trip. Location is very close to fashion district, nice restaurants and shops. The washroom was small, but decently sound proofed. No direct access to street. So after being dropped off by expensive taxi, had to haul luggage by a significant distance without ramps.

The property was a short taxi ride from where our river ship was docked. The hotel was very convenient and easy walking to St. Stephen’s, Shoes on the River and the funicular to Budapest. Great hotel!

A few days in Character filled Budapest……..
Check in was very pleasant experience with the bonus of our room being available at 10am without extra charge. Room had all required facilities and was very clean. However, after an uncomfortable first night’s sleep due to temperature, discovered the relatively noisy air cooling conditioning was not working. Asked for attention the next morning, we were told that neither heating or cooling was working throughout the hotel - I asked why we were not told at check in. Tiny window opening helped but very noisy before 7am due to building work commencing outside our window. Small but niggly irritation was over 3 night stay, neither tea bags nor creamery/milk sachets topped up, even when promised by reception that they would be sent to our room. Bar staff/service excellent. Good location for sights and easy access to Metro system, with decent local bars and restaurants very close by.
The elegant and unique New York Cafe - a must.
