Poo considerations….
First room, the toilet didn’t work. Second room was by the break room where it was super loud with people wheeling things in and out all the time. You’d think if you’re making up for the first room not meeting needs, the second would be in a better location. Bed was too firm; very uncomfortable. One of the bed lights flickered bad, so we couldn’t use it. Breakfast was a joke. Nothing was refilled when we arrived at 9am. No forks, no orange juice, no eggs, no bacon, barely any breads, mini fridge was almost empty. I didn’t get to eat!!! All I could have was coffee and without French vanilla creamer because it was empty too. Service needs to be proactive and prep for refilling items before they run out; not when they run out.

Good location. However, staff were unhelpful, it seemed like a chore when I needed help, room was super dark and no overhead lighting, window shade was broken and was unable to be opened so it was extra dark, no business area so could not use computers or printers.

Not a very good stay
Breakfast hardly had anything to offer- did grab a hard bagel which was stale.I couldn't adjust the a/c that was Left on. Carpet wet along the outside wall, maintenance drilling and adjusting someone's door across hall at ,930 pm. Waking me up. Front desk not very friendly or even ask about my stay. Will not recommend staying here.

Crystal is a superhero.
Heres my story with the Hampton Inn at 4150 Stelzer Rd. Employee Crystal that works the counter is a Superhero to my brother and I. We come to Columbus to work 5-7 days a week depending on work load. Thanksgiving week my brother scheduled us a hotel room till Wed. Go home Thurs for Thanksgiving, get a hotel room Fri and Sat. Well we ended up doing that and it didn’t work so well. Once we tried to get a room after Thanksgiving, all rooms were taken and alot of other hotels were booked. I looked at other sites, all booked for holiday week. I asked Crystal and she said all rooms taken. She informed me if I ended up with a room she would move my reservation to my current room so we didnt have to move once she saw my name come in. I went to work and looked up a room and found one at our current hotel at the Hampton Inn. I reserved it, she saw my name come in, moved my reservation to my current room, and we didnt have to leave at 11am and return at 3pm for checkin. We can stay there and get some sleep for work that night and kept our room for the next 2 days. Crystal saved us from being homeless for 2 days with nowhere to stay. She needs a raise NOW!!!.

We’ve stayed at many a Hampton Inn but this was frustrating and unacceptable. The area around the property was filthy. Garbage everywhere. We travel with our dog and couldn’t manage to walk him anywhere near the building. During our stay, several cars were broken into and had their windows smashed. On Thanksgiving day! I felt so badly for those people. And on another evening the police were called because of a person outside harassing guests. Inside was not much better. The room was clean in the barest possible way. We always immediately take off the comforter cover because we know they are not cleaned between guest stays. Underneath was a light comforter with holes, which looked like cigarette holes. Multiple outlets were not functioning. There were not many towels and the ones we had were the cheapest I’ve used thus far at a Hampton Inn. Thin, scratchy and small. The surfaces had not been dusted. The breakfast was inedible to me. The only thing I tasted when trying the eggs was salt. There was no one working the area. No water at all and no one to ask for water. The whole place screamed cheap and cutting corners. We will continue to stay at Hampton Inn, I guess, because it’s my husband’s preference but there are many others in the Columbus area. Pick a different one.

Car Break ins at Columbus area Hotels
I was scheduled to stay at the property for two nights and I booked three rooms for my family. We only stayed at the property one night because I went to my car that I rented to discover that window have broken out and that vandals went through the car a stole my house key that I had in the glove box. There were five cars that were broken in on the property Thanksgiving day. When I shared that my car had been broken into the front desk staff informed me that break ins had been happening in the area hotels and that I had to call the police to file a police report. It would have been great to be informed during check in that break ins were occurring in the area.

The breakfast was not up to the normal standards for a Hampton Inn. The food choices were limited, cold, and the staff could not keep the food supplied promptly. The room itself was fine, clean and comfortable. I will probably stay somewhere else, the next time I’m in the area.
