Let your cares literally drift away in this relaxing, kid-friendly, beautifully decorated 1BR/2BA Plus Bunk Room- Top Floor unit (6th floor). Enjoy stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and pool area from your private balcony. Located on Okaloosa Island, we are 20 minutes from the VPS airport and 15 minutes from Destin.
The master bedroom features a king size bed, TV, DVD, and private master bath. The bunkroom has a 2 twin bunk bed, and TV with cable. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, with a Smart TV, and a DVD player. A large open, fully equipped kitchen features a side-by-side fridge/freezer with a water and ice maker, dishwasher, oven with smooth top range, and an over-the-range microwave. A stackable size washer/dryer is in the unit for your convenience (newly replaced). This unit is tiled throughout. *Free WIFI.

FREE BEACH SERVICE( 2 chairs and 1 umbrella) is available March thru October.

Awesome Dude (Unit 615) is decorated in a beachy nautical theme that reflects the charm and soothing nature of the Emerald Coast.

Awesome Dude is ideally situated on the top floor and the view says it all...incredible! You also overlook the main 5000 square foot pool, Kiddie pool and large hot tub.

There are MANY pools to choose from at Destin West. The bayside offers a 700 ft. lazy river, a heated pool with a waterfall flowing into it, and 2 large hot tubs in the center of the bayside complex. There is also a gradual decline pool that feeds into the Lazy River. Parents love the safety of their toddlers playing in the water.
The beachside complex offers a 5000 sq. ft. pool, a kiddy pool, and a large hot tub. You will also have access to the large Ramada Inn pool that features a grotto pool with swim up bar!

A SKYWALK or bridge connecting the beachside complex to the bayside complex makes using all of the amenities at Destin West a breeze! The beachside also has a state of the art FITNESS GYM right on the beach.
CHARCOAL GRILLS and PICNIC TABLES on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out inviting and fun. Or throw FRISBEE/FOOTBALL on the grassy areas by the grills on the bayside.

Just a perfect trip!

I had a fantastic experience! The communication with the property owner was a breeze, and they were incredibly responsive. The view from the rental was simply breathtaking, making the whole stay even more memorable. I'm already looking forward to my next trip and will definitely stay at this VRBO property again. Great place for families

The unit was clean and just as described. Just enough room for the family for relaxing. The property was within walking distance to a lot of the amenities the island had to offer. The property amenities were fantastic. There was a huge pool, gym, and lazy river that we frequented. Had a wonderful time! We would definately recommend staying here.

Condo was great but Beach Service Set Up Daily not so much

As always, it was a great pleasure to rent from this owner. We have rented many times from him and a few of his different condos. He is very attentive and responds quickly if needed. As for the beach service included, it was a an inconvenience to have to wake up early to stand in line daily to make sure you were able to get an umbrella/ chairs in a good spot. Unfortunately, this is out of the owners hands bc it is ran by a different company. This is the first year we have us to do this and it was aggravating bc it put me on a time schedule and I don’t like to be in a time schedule on vacation. I like to sleep in late if I want and know that my spot is already set up on beach waiting for me. In all years prior, we would go on the first day and reserve the beach service for all week and it would be set up each day. But like I said this is out of the owner of the condo’s control. The owner and the condo is awesome!

Had a great stay!

This condo was at a great location. Check in was easy, condo was clean and had a nice view. My boys enjoyed all the pools and we enjoyed the umbrella and chair service on the beach. The owner responded quickly to any questions I had and I would recommend this place for rental. It was very quiet since it was on the top floor and at the end of the building. It was also super close to the parking garage which made coming and going easy. We had a great stay here.

Perfect space and perfect location! Easy and convenient!

Best place we have stayed in a while! The condo is located on the Gulf Side which is exactly what we were looking for! When you park, you get off and walk directly to the condo! The beach is a short walk and chair service is included! Great for a family with kids or those just wanting to relax! We also enjoyed the dual access to The Island and the swim up bar as well as the lazy River on the Bay Side! Don’t forget your pool pass! I love how they check to ensure o my guest are allowed! Makes it very nice! Condo was very clean and felt homey! After several days of eating out, we enjoyed a few home cooked meals! Having the washer and dryer on hand was so wonderful! Bed was very comfy and restful! Don’t forget to print your parking pass! Bill was very quick to resend that to me when I misplaced the original email! Great service that was fast and friendly! You won’t be disappointed if you are looking for a perfect space to chill and enjoy the Gulf.

Great Views of Gulf

We stayed at this condo for 4 weeks in early 2022. The condo was perfect for us! Wonderful view of the Gulf from the living room and balcony. Furnishings were updated and bed was very comfortable. The property manager, Bill, was quick to answer any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again next year.

The property was great. The property owner was available with any questions and we even got to extend our stay because we were having so much fun. The condo included anything you would need for your stay, was clean, and the view was incredible. We will be back next year for sure!

Lovely condo

We had an amazing time! The beach front service was amazing and we were close to the boardwalk for drinks and food! Every morning we ate breakfast on the balcony to enjoy the view of the beach.

Nice View, Kind Owner, but...

The condo has very nice view of the pools and the beach, but it was not very clean. The floor was dirty that it turned the bottom of our feet black if we walk on the floor barefeet. There was stains on the bedding. The king matress was okay, but the matressed on the bunk beds and the sofa bed were very cheap and old that they were very uncomfortable to sleep on. All furnitures were old. The kitchen supplies were okay but had many items that needs to be replaced. The can opener was so old that it rusted. The most frustrated thing was the elevators to our floor was not working during our stay. We traveled with children, so it was very inconvenient for us to go up and down the stairs with strollers/wagon, not to mention it was a big hassle unloading our luggage when we arrived and loading when we leave. We had to carry one by one from/to the car. Same with the kids, my husband and I had to take turn carrying them to/from the car because we can't use the stroller/wagon to carry them all to the parking lot (we had 4 kids (2 toddlers and one baby)). I understand that the elevators were out due to the hurricane a few weeks ago, but it would be nice if the owner let us know ahead of time so that we can be prepared. We did not enjoy our stay at the condo overall but I'm giving it 3 stars because of the view and the kindness of the owner. We accidentally broke a glass ball in a decorating basket, but sge did not charge us. We also checked out late 40 min due to carrying multiple things one by one to the car since we couldn't use the cart with the stairs. As for the resort, the bayside area had more pools but everything was very old and smaller than expected. Pools were also dirty with lots of floating debris. We will not be back at Destin West again.

GREAT VIEW AND LOCATION

This is a very nice condo. Loved the decor, cleanliness, and access to the lazy river. The pool was nice, and just a few steps out to the beach was awesome, parking was great....there were a few little things that needed to be address but overall great place to stay...we will stay here again.
