Cabin in the Cove - Boathouse - Dog Friendly

Open concept with hardwood floors throughout. Convenient to local restaurants and shops. Guntersville State Park is approximately 5 miles away. Boat ramp is about 1 mile away. Relax in the open kitchen/living area or the screened in porch. If sun is what you are looking for then there is a sun deck down at the boathouse. The Cabin also has several open decks to enjoy the outdoors. The Cabin can sleep up to 7 people. There's a queen size bed in the master bedroom and four twin beds in the other 2 bedrooms.

Use of the Boathouse is included with The Cabin. You will have access to 1 large boat slip with an electric lift for your use. There are tie ups available on the outside of the boat house. There is power and water at the boat house.

Owner is not responsible for personal injury or property damage but you are welcome to utilize the boat house and decks. Swim at your own risk.

The boat and watercraft toys (skis, tubes, kneeboards, etc..) are NOT available for use.

You must contact us directly and receive confirmation prior to using the kayaks or fishing tackle. The rental rate is $20 for each kayak for the duration of your stay and can be invoiced thru VRBO or paid via Paypal.

However, the Lily Pad, life jackets, and floats are for your enjoyment. Water level at the boathouse is around 4-5 feet. No diving.

Peace and Tranquility!
My wife and I are devoted grandparents and are loving this stage of life. That said we still an occasional getaway to recharge (grandparent batteries drain much quicker 😜) We love Guntersville for the small town ambience and non tourist trap setting. However we could never find that spot that offered the peace and tranquility that was so needed. Until now! Lake views and screened in deck, 3 bedrooms.and comfortable furniture ( a big issue with many VRBO's.) I just can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We were there in December, so the lake was quiet and the fall leaves were stunning. We will be back in the Spring and Summer and review again, but I highly recommend this place if you want quaint and quiet. We've found our getaway.

Stephanie was the perfect host, great communication when needed! The property is exactly as listed and fully stocked for all your needs. The location is perfect and close to everything. House and boathouse are great! Driveway is steep. I recommend following the owners directions for accessing the driveway. Also, putting your boat in the water before going to the house works best.

Getaway at the cove
My family felt right at home, even though the weather was rainy, it was relaxing and cozy! They had everything we would ever need and much needed family time with the grandmother and grandchildren and great grandchildren. We created very special memories at the cove! Perfect vacation stay
Denver and Stephanie were the perfect host. After we messed up our e-mail address they went above and beyond to deal with VRBO to get it straightened out. My wife and I and two grown children had more than enough space. Great outdoor areas to sit and relax. Great boathouse for my 19 foot bass boat. Even sent us a link on how to park our boat trailer in the driveway. This was a bucket list trip for me and this house was perfect in every way.

Weekday getaway
We stayed at this home right before the 4th of July. What a wonderful get away! The home is beautiful inside and out. The outdoor areas were the best part! There is a very nice screened in area to avoid the bugs. There is a nice covered area over the grill and stick burner! Then you get the use of the boathouse as well. We had family pick us up from our deck and went out on the lake! There is a lily pad to use if you choose. We had a great time and will look to see the availability of the cabin when we come down again! There was several places around to eat that we enjoyed, another broken egg cafe and Brazos are a couple. Overall we loved our stay at the lake!

The house, boat house and property were excellent. We liked where it was positioned at the end of the cove. It was very convenient to have the boat in the water and ready to go in the mornings and evenings! The house was clean and as advertised! We will definitely book here again!

Bachelorette Trip
Five ladies stayed from Friday until Monday for a Bachelorette Trip. I have to say, the website pictures do not do this house justice. It was beautiful! Plus, the owner has added so many details to make your trip enjoyable and relaxing it is amazing! We have rented several different places on the Guntersville Lake. This one was our favorite!

Love this home!
This was our first time staying at this property and we were very pleased! The house is very clean, love the layout of the house, and the view from the deck is beautiful! Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and the host was always quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. One of out major deciding factors was having access to and use of the boathouse! For us, that is a huge plus! And we were pleasantly surprised one morning when we were able to watch a pair of eagles fly around the cove! We will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed our stay and being on the water with access to a dock and a boat slip was very vice. The house was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Communication with he owner was very quick and courteous.
